    Anyone have any theories as to why we're not in for Vilsvik of Stromsgodset ? He would have been a perfect replacement for Matthews. Can play left back aswell as rightback, he's tall and is quite experienced.

    I doubt he's any good, did he not not get picked in the latest under 19 squad or something and it got blamed on the manager thinking he was too small or something which was probably pish just because a Real Madrid youth player never got picked for a Scotland under 19 squad.

    Also think of the dozens of Scottish diddies who've played for the youth teams of Man Utd, Liverpool and that and never went on to do anything.

    According to Belgian media, we are close to signing Logan Bailly. Belgian 'keeper playing for Leuven. Played over 60 matches for Monchengladbach. Capped 8 times.

    Sounds like a fantastic back up 'keeper.

    Sbragia never picked him because he wanted a more physical side and was destroyed for it in the Media. He said as much himself it was not down to ability.

    I wouldn't take that as an indication of anything other than Sbragia being a * Manager.

    It could also point to Harper actually not being that good either though. If he was the best player in the team he'd have got a game regardless of how physical he was or not but if he was one of the worse players in the team then I could see him being left out for someone with more height or pace or whatever.

    Paul McMullan actually played the 3 games in the attacking mid position that Harper never got picked in the squad for. McMullan id guess is the smallest player in the squad even smaller than Harper.

    Results wise Sbragia has done not that bad either, 4 most recent games were 3 draws with Netherlands, Italy and Croatia and they beat Austria.

    Harper is around 6ft, so I don't see how it could have been down to size. Think it was more down to the fact that he's a player who's attributes are more technique focused than physically focused.

    Aye Lionel, I'm not gonnae call ye up cos ya don't know what to do with a long ball. Here, Zola mate...you can * off an all cos you're tiny and will probably get pushed off the ball when a defender breathes toward ya

    Ridiculous way of thinking. Doesn't belong in the modern game.
