I don't think theres a good Striker out there within our price range/wage bracket. Someone said that Ajax had accepted that they couldn't find anyone and extended a deal for Sigurdsson, knowing he isnt what they want.

    Wants out of Norwich
We like loans and I'm sure Norwich would be open to one
we'd get him cheaper than anyone else if we were to buy him
We currently have no English people in the squad
    I think he's pretty

Ofcourse there is, we just seem to be blind to what is going on.

Jelle Vossen is about to sign for Middlesborough onloan he is easily better than anything we have and would walk into our side. That's only one example, this * about there being no good players in our range is being brainwashed into people's mind by Petey and co. It's not true.

Maybe if we actually tried to sign these players, which I don't believe we do. It doesn't hurt to ask.

Even then, Tony Watt nearly equalled his goal tally last season in only 17 games.

    Doesn't mean much.

Vossen's record since he broke into the side at Watt's age is good. Last season was his poorest.

It's time to at least get a spl rated striker in because ours aren't even that good. I say get ciftci because without someone like that we'll struggle to *

Usually deadline days are full of excitement, even though the end has been disappointing, has there at least been some excitement around it. Not any more, we are not even linked to players. Our board must be one of the most inefficient in Europe when it comes to signing players and getting deals done.

"players laugh at us when we offer them wages" "it is frustrating"

Quotes like that really * me off. We are not some small club in a third division in the outcast of Europe. We are Celtic. Even poor Swedish clubs do signings, and find some really good players. It is not always about the price or wages, it is about finding the quality. If I take the Swedish league as an example.

Decent Swedish talent bought for less than 2-3 million pounds the last years: Berg, Bajrami, Victor Elm, Rasmus Elm, Molins, Wernbloom, Sam Larsson.
Foreign talent from Allsvenskan: Ari, Finnbogason, Rantie, Waris Majeed etc.

Point is that it would look similar in Denmark/Norway, and also in Central European countries like Poland. If you either look at your own market or markets as mentioned, the players would be more inclined to accept the salaries, than what they would do in England/France/Spain/Germany. In Sweden the average salary for football players is about 1-2k a week. Getting 5-10 k in Scotland for Celtic is hence a good deal. Swedish press made an article when Lustig signed, and the content of it was the impressive salary that Lustig had in Celtic.

Danny Welbeck is up for loan/buy. If Virgil is leaving why not trade ?

Can't see Welbeck fancying up here but would be great up top.
