Richard Dunne has been finished for over a year now, injuries have caught up and taken their toll. He was a good centre half, but passed it now. If I had to choose to take one of them, then I would gamble with Ireland and hope he could regain a bit of form from his time at City. But with the wages he would be after, he wouldn't be high on the priority list either.

If FF wants to leave I would go for Given, at 37 he has still got a few keeper years in him, could do worse, Ronnie Simpson was no chicken when a Lion, came to CP as second choice to John Fallon.:icon_mrgreen:

Would offer Dunne a play as you play deal until he could prove his fitness over a period of time. Given I think is finished. Dunne was useful up until he got injured so if he can recover fitness then he would be a possible option.

Forget about Stephen Ireland, he's a *, more trouble than he's worth, wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. A fookin useless git if there ever was one.

I'm not linking them JUST because they're Irish. I also happen to think they're good enough.

    Ok.

Given (who isn't particularly good anymore, a fair age and will be on a substantial wage) to get ahead of Forster? Really?

Dunne who hasn't played a game this season and is quite pish anyway?

Ireland who is a bit of a *, no better than what we already have and is on around £30k a week?

Or 3 premiership footballers with plenty of experience on freebies.

In any case, he never said Given would get ahead of Forster - he said if Forster goes.

Don't see any point really, none of them would be worth it wages wise, one thing I'm surprised at is that we don't really have any decent keepers coming from Lennoxtown

I'm on your side ffs :smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002:

That quote you commented on was me saying you HAD to mention it because some people's automatic thoughts is they are only being mentioned because they are Irish.

You haven't a clue. Dunne's career might be over (or might not) but that 's due to injuries. He's been a top class CH in the EPL and at international level for many seasons. You're talking pish.

Given would not be signed to get ahead of Forster, what are you talking about? He might be signed if Forster leaves as a stop gap until a replacement is found.

Stephen Ireland is a good player, still only 26 as well.
