Seasons coming to an end the silly rumours start...

When we're linked with a player once no matter how long ago the same rumours always come up every season...

    He's * anyway

Kuban Krasnodar and Dynamo Moscow have been linked with him and seeing as they are Russian Im guessing we couldn't match their wages:smiley-laughing002:, would not be surprised to see a return to CSKA for him.

Who is Moses Batunfata? Have any of you even seen him play?

    Of course. He is excellent.

Also, I would not give Neil Lennon, 5 million to spend.

What even makes you certain Neil makes all the signings for us? All parties should be held accountable for our failures in the market, much like Park, Lawell, etc. should also be applauded for the signings of Wanyama, Matthews, Ledley, etc.

'Neil', which is to say the club, would most likely do serious damage with 5m, IMO.

Another winger should and probably will be signed. Lawrence aint the answer though as you say. Would not even class him as an out and out winger.

I wouldn't want us to sign an out and out right winger as I think it would just harm the chances of Paul George ever getting any playing time.

we shouldn't be taking anyone from a league like Indonesia without an extensive trial imo. I'll admit I've never watched Indonesian football but it doesn't have a pedigree of producing players capable of playing at the highest level.

Doesn't mean that we should discriminate against players because of the standard of their league etc.

If a player is good enough, it shouldn't matter where he comes from :50:

Jores Okore from Nordsjælland would give us a very stable back 4. Although he's valued at around 4 million, he himself stated he wants to leave in summer.
Wishful thinking perhaps? He has european experience against top teams - he is only 20.

If we tried to sign someone from the scottish 2nd division without a trial first there would be an outcry on here and rightly so but because its a foreign league people seem more open to the idea. I think that anyone coming from a league as poor as the indonesian one should be brought in for a trial before we pay for them, or we could even take him on loan with an option to buy like we did with boruc. I don't know anything about the indonesian league but if wikipedia is too be believed the award for best player there went to a 40 year old who topped out at hull city in 2000 so im assuming the standard is pretty *. * half of this forum seems dead set against signing russell or mackay steven who would probably be mistaken for messi over there.

Few Prem teams reported to be interested in taking him. Looks like a very physical player, dunno if he is the new Benzema but he certainly looks like him:smiley-laughing002:

Obviously but at a certain level it becomes impossible to tell. A player can only be judged relative to the competition around him and imo the Indonesian league would be too low a level to actually learn anything from. He could look great over there but to me that would be meaningless until he is tested at a higher level which an extensive trial would accomplish.
