What do we know about Noe Baba?

Wikipedia states that he's an Ireland U19 player who just signed for Fulham for €160k from Castlebar Celtic. The article also states that Celtic were interested in him, but it's the first I've heard about it.

Anyone have any more information on our "interest" in him?

 

It'll likely just be his agent or someone else flinging our name about to generate interest before he got his deal with Fulham.

 

What about Chris Wood. 20 years old striker from West Brom
On loan at Millwall and doing not bad

I heard in summer that we were in for him, but it was on that 'football rumours' site, so goodness knows about the authenticity of it.

From what I know of him, I definitely wouldn't say no.

 

I could have swore that we signed that Noe Baba Meant to be a player and a half.

 

Maybe a long shot but what about Alexander Meier from frankfurt? He's 29 6ft 5, got 9 goals this season for frankfurt in the bundesligsa and started his career at St Pauli.

 

He signed for fulham last week mate

 

I want James McClean in our team, he would get a heroes welcome (From me anyway)

 

Twitter saying we are keeping tabs on Paweł Wszołek. Anybody know anything about him? See he has two caps for Poland.

I know YouTube videos can be decieving (all the clips are from 2012/13 so to have 15 minutes of hghlights isn't bad) but you can see he's a very good player from that. Exceptional range of passing. Quick, very strong on the ball. Decent finisher as well.

Schalke have been linked with him so there's no way he'll be coming to Celtic.

one of the best young polish talents around right now didn't looke out of place when playing for poland in their draw against england. We had scouts at the polonia-zabrze game at the weekend and those two teams contain 3 pf the best young polish prospects in wszolek, milik, and teodoroczyk. Milik is the best of the prospects imo based on the little i have seen of them but all three are great prospects who have a chance of becoming regular starters for the polish national team in the future.

 

Schalke and Fulham are two different kettles of fish. League titles aside Schalke can offer him everything we can, along with higher wages. We can probably offer him more first team football and a better chance of developing & making his name in Europe though. Depends on what motivates him. Hopefully he's switched on and makes the right decision if it comes down to it.

And I'm normally quite optimistic when it comes to things like this.

 

Wouldn't say no to McClean. Would take a good few million to get him, you'd think, though.

 

Probably £7m or £8m. He's good but I wouldn't say he's as good as Kris Commons. And if you're going to be breaking our record transfer fee I want someone of real quality for a reasonable price (i.e. no-one from England.) GMS I'd say is a very similar player and probably almost as good as McClean. But he'd be £2m-£3m so a much better transfer IMO.

 

That Paweł Wszołek looks some player. Poland have a few really decent looking youngsters just now. Another one is Rafal Wolski. Milik sounds great too. Think he's been spoken about on here before. Would love to see us try to get hold of one or more of those guys.

 

I agree; hence why I said 'I wouldn't say no', rather than 'let's go hammer and tongs to try to get him'. I can think of three or four guys cheaper and with approximately just as much ability/potential, with GMS being one.

 

GMS or Rafal Wolski for me. I feel we're lacking that playmaking edge.

 

We've also been linked with Milik in the papers aswell. I always though Rafał Wolski was the best player in the Polish league.
