Stilic would be great in a free role behind our front men. What he lacks in pace he makes up for in creativity.

Seen a thread got shut but...............Boruc only has 5 months left on his deal.
Imagine a return of the Holy Goalie. Would be amazing. I don't even doubt he'd come back, he just won't. I think staying in Glasgow just wasn't good for him.

yeh, think he is what we need in our midfield, . Stilic would provide plenty of assists and would be able to grab a few goals.

Yeah I agree on that. I don't think he would want to put up with the abuse he got here again. Bringing players back rarely works but you never know.

Id be surprised if Boruc didnt sign a new contract with Fiorentina, isnt he their number 1 now?

I doubt he'd come back, he said himself he wouldnt want to Im sure, thats why he left, the guy needed a new challenge. Fair enough to him.

also, about him playing in the euros ^ On his wikipedia it says he reitred from internationals in 2010?? it has " Poland 2004-2010"

anyone know if thats true? I supose it could be as isnt Scezsny or whatever their number 1 now.

No, he will not. He and Franciszek Smuda (Poland National Team Coach) are having a fight so no chance. Our 1st choice is Szczęsny and 2nd is Fabiański. The third will be probably Tytoń from PSV. I'm from Poland so I know what's going on.
And about Stilic....GET HIM SIGNED. Great Player. Along with Rudnevs and Melikson the best player in Polish Ekstraklasa.

Boruc is no longer in Polish international squad. Smuda, the manager of national team dislikes him. Also, There are a few really talented gk's who are now in front of him (I don't say they are better, but manager and some 'experts' in Poland say so) like Szczesny (Arsenal), Tyton (PSV), Sandomierski (we were linked with him in the summer, now he is on the bench in Belgium..) or Fabianski (Arsenal).

Boruc is one of the best gk's now in serie A - I would say he is most definitely in top 5.
Recently, I have read in the polish papers that Fiorentina are resigned in keeping him and are willing to accept an offer of around 6-7m euros from EPL - don't know how much truth is in it.

I guess there is no chance he will be back. Anyway, I have seen a long interview with him recently and he said he likes his life in Italy but he also said about how passionate Celtic supporters are and that he enjoyed his time in Glasgow and there were that special moments that he will never forget:50:
As for gk's I would mayby turn my attention back for Sandomierski

Why is his contract running out though?

I would love the Holy Goalie back but only if he was still at the top of his game.

His deal running out doesn't really convey that.

I'm really not clued up on Italian fitba' so I'm happy to be corrected

For me Stilic is not in top 3 of the Polish league. Mayby in top 5. No disrespect, but Polish league seems to be becoming better then SPL now, so he might be one of the better players here if he joins us. It is definetely worth taking him for free in the summer by signing the pre-contract agreement asap. I guess that 12k/week should make him sign.

As for Lech Poznan players I would recommend central defender Marcin Kaminski. There is a bright future for him. Already, he would be able to fight for the first team place and in a few years I can only imagine how great player he will be.

Also, Rudnevs is a prolific goalscorer. He has got pace, technique, ball control. Scores from headers, bicycles, counter-attacks.. I would see him in The Hoops:icon_mrgreen: Have scored 18 goals (no penalties) in 17 games this season (second best scorer has 9). In the previous season he has scored a hat-trick against Juventus in the Europa League group stages (3:3), also scored against them in the second game (1:1) and against Braga in 1/16 (1:0) so he can play in big games against quality defenders. Last season, Lech finished 8th (or 6th?) in the Polish league, so they don't play in Europe this season so they struggle with money issues (also because of conflict with supporters resulting in less income) and they will need to sell players. We may capitalise on that, but still I'm not sure if we can afford to bring Rudnevs.

    To: Venomspawn82 - spoznilem sie z poprzednim postem. Pozdrawiam z Gdanska:bbpd:

Boruc has a very outside shot of going to Euros both Szczesny and Fabianski are prefered to him for poland and recently tyton, Sandomierski, and maltkowski have all been called up ahead of him.

I've seen alot of him watching Lech and I honestly don't think he would improve us, although for that little money there wouldn't be any harm in bringing him in to see what he can do.

he's on £40k+ a week? bollocks. lucky to be on more than half that imo. if we were to match that, i'd think he'd ponder the move north of the board considering Lennon's philosophy. i think Lennon's philosophy of development is very attractive to players.

Suggested Stilic a while back. If we could get him signed up on a pre contract then punt Ki in the summer for big money it would allow us to bring in a quality centre back and winger, assuming we get up front sorted this window, without really weakening the midfield.

Javi Guerra -the Valladolid player the huns are reported to be interested in. not seen him play but can tell by his vids he is talented. he is the type we should be looking for good footwork, clinical and got a bit of magic in front of goal by looks of things

his scoring record is awful, he's only ever done it in the second division and is 30 years old. No thanks.
