Technical, good from long range. Headers...he's better than Stokes, but again, that's not hard.

too true. everyone bangs on about splashing the cash for some real experience. the reality is half of our success stories have come from modest, humble backgrounds and cost a modest, humble amount.

we will need to fork out a few million for a centre back and striker but they will still be value for money - of that, i have no doubt.

:50: the thought of both of them, as they say, once you go black, you never go back.

Sure you get a few great players for little money and Lennon has done well to find them but often it is more than that. If we sign anyone in January he has to be top quality

what?!?!? you're turning down quality because it's not what we need? i say this squad needs any quality it can get. in fact, all football clubs need all the quality they can get.

Mariga could relive Wanyama of his midfield duties and allow him to focus on becoming a centre back or Mariga could come in and go straight into defence himself. it would seriously help out our centre back problems landing Mariga.

could cost a bit but i think we have a shot and it would be an outstanding piece of business.

Is Mariga not more of an attacking midfielder or is he similar to his brother? I haven't seen him play a lot and when i have he isn't too shabby going forward so im not sure what his position is.

i've only seen him a couple of times as well but he has been deployed as a defensive mid. i can only recall seeing his name once on the scoresheet for Inter. think it was a header from a set piece.

if he is more of a midfielder, we can always put him in the middle and move Wanyama to the back.

EDIT: just read his loan deal with Real Sociedad is for the season. i would definitely look at him in the Summer.

No he didn't. The move was decided when Mowbray had came in in the August.

And he chose to buy Ki instead of James McCarthy.

You sure ? can swear on the way to the Dinamo Moscow game , Tony done a interview on the Radio and said the lad had already been scouted by the past manager and was already coming here- and he admitted he never knew a lot about him it was done by Peter Lawwell .

Mowbray was on record saying that he hadn't even seen Ki play before.

I'm not doubting he was a board signing tbh, shocking that we picked him over McCarthy :54: Infact * we could have got both.

Aye, regardless of Ki, the fact we never signed Janes McCarthy beggars belief.

I don't think there's anything between them really, I think if we signed McCarthy over Ki and he was playing in the Premiership people would be saying the same thing.
