Like someone else here said Maynard is good but he is not we need as striker, he is like Hooper but with a bit more pace and not as good of a finisher.

 

but he's available to sign a pre contact in less than a month, thats roughly a £5m dicount.

 

Suggested Rudnevs in the summer, think he'd be a great buy for us.

Semir Stilic, Rudnevs teammate, is available on a bosman too. We were linked with him in Jan '10 and again in June '10 but nothing came of it. Quality left winger that we could do with if we sell Sammy to help fund a CB and ST.

Another one I'd love to see here is Shikabala, think we were linked to him in 2009 but his club wanted 6M euros or something daft like that. He's also available on a free this summer although a few Prem teams were after him in the summer.

Think rudnevs is a brilliant striker but like maynard is not the striker we're looking for! If hooper was to go (* i hope not) he'd be the one id want to replace him!

Bas dost on the other hand is exactly what we're looking for! Wonder what price herenveen would demand for him... Think they got him for about 2mill and with him being so young i recon theyd be easily looking for between 4 and 6mill! Would be well worth it though imo!

Stillic is a cracking midfielder and scores goals aswell... But we've got a quality young midfield and lenny will have a headache picking his preferred lot as it is without adding another into the mix! We need an experienced yet quality centreback and a big, strong and pacey centreforward not another midfielder.

Having said that, i've just realised his contracts up in the summer! Precontract would be a brilliant piece of business!!!!

 

He can play all across the midfield too so would be pretty great on a bosman.

I'd imagine Sammy will be sold in Jan to help fund a CB and ST and Lennon doesn't seem to fancy McCourt so we could do with another left winger tbh.

Carlos Kameni. Isn't getting a game for Espanyol and is apparently looking to move in January. Would probably cost a bit though

a lot of moves, i feel, are relying on Samaras to leave. it's all contingent on freeing up a space in the squad and in wages.

Pretty much. If we manage to shift Sammy and Rasmussen, possibly even McCourt and Loovens, in Jan we should have a decent enough budget to get the CB and ST we're all after.

Think getting a couple of quality players on pre contracts is crucial as well since we already know a fair amount of wages will be freed up with the number of players whose contracts are up. Plus we're unlikely to bring in a huge amount through player sales in the summer, with Juarez, McCourt and Murphy the only players we're likely to see any cash for, without selling any starters.

North Korean striker, pretty decent scoring record. Saw him at the World Cup (he was the guy that cried during the national anthem) and he was quite good
