Would love to see mowbray get the top job, great man manager, his teams play great attacking football and he is fantastic at developing youth. I think with Tony at the helm we might see our young starlets get more first team experiance.

I reckon mowbray will have players like Sheridan cutting his teeth more regularly, The problem with young players at big clubs is that chances are few and far between for first team starts because of the pressure and particularly here to play the best 11. I wouldnt have an issue seeing some of our most promising youth players given a chance in the first team and Mowbray may well favour that aproach, especialy if he has limited funds.

So winning the english championship makes you a Celtic manager. How long did West Brom last in the Premiership.
He had the best batch of players Hibs have had in years and were mid table. To many supporters are settling for second rate managers. We can do better if the board pushed themselves that little bit harder.

As for developing youth, most of the young players were there at hibs developing under Bobby Williamson, before Mowbray took over.

Sorry but he didnt arrive and have a great bunch of players at hibs , he turned most of them into players. And when he was at hibs they finished 3rd and 4th. Not exactly mid table when you bring the OF into the equation.

He is good enough you nut.

He build something at Hibs that was very attractive and brought the kind of success they haven't had in a long time.

He came in to a shambles left by Robson at WBA. Sold off several key players to fund a rebuilding job and took them to within a game of the Premiership. The next season they walked it and played soem good stuff along the way.
They have played good stuff this year as well and gone down. And i think he has learned alot this year. If he had the lad Fortune from the start it may have been different.

Fans dont make a shitload of masks for managers who have just been relegated, but they did it for him - tells you a lot. WBA will be gutted to see him leave and i will be delighted to have him here.

Good football to match the silverware

They played under Williamson, but they shone under Mogga.

Brown, Thompson, Riordan, O'Connor, Murphy, Whittaker, Sproule etc

I'll be happy if Mowbray takes over, especially when I look at some of the names being linked with us. He's a good manager, experienced, plays good football and knows the game up here well. Apart from Bilic, I'd take Mowbray over anyone we've been linked with.

He is that good Hearts managed to score 12 goals in 3 games against them in 1 season. Sounds like cracking football.

gonna reserve judgement as i thot strachan would do * all.

hope he does well if he gets it

All you've done is isolate 3 results.

Just go ahead and ignore the back-to-back top 4 finishes, something Hibs hadn't done in years. Also, ignore the massive increase in season ticket holders as well.

And they scraped that. 2005-2006 they finished 2 pts clear of 6th place with the players that they had at that time.

There are other results I can go on about that season such as 3-0 to dunfermline. ict beating them 3 times. Aberdeen pumping them 4-0. I could go on if you want.

So 3 derby defeats by 12 goals, you wouldnt be saying he was a good manager if it was 3 derby defeats by the manky mob by 12 goals.
