Am i the only person here

I don't have a scooby who we'll bring in, but there is as much chance as it being someone not yet mentioned as half the names that have been mentioned.

It's just you mate. I think we'll ask everyone mentioned, get knocked back by them all then finally have to settle for McGhee.

 

It's probably gonna be one of the names that's been mentioned in the press, my personal choice being Slaven Bilic. I just hope its not Mark McGhee, no offence but I would find it hard to get excited about him being the new manager.

I know hes been mentioned but hes the only guy that fits the bill when you compare him to Wim Jansen & Dr Jo Venglos.

I wouldn't be too upset if we got him, but I don't think he would be here for the long term either, just like Wim Jansen & Dr Jo Venglos.

I've got a feeling it will be someone like Mowbray, Coyle, Levein or McGhee. If you look at the board every decision they take is steady, low risk, no thrills. You can imagine them in the Boardroom, weighing up the financial risk with each of the candidates.

I think the position we are in we can afford to take risks. As long as the new manager isnt allowed to spend crazy money, we can easily recover by selling off a few assets in boruc and mcgeady.

I'm starting to get that feeling.

 

Forgive my cynicism. But, that's what I've been thinking. After about a week or so of prevarication, The Board will explain how, due to "financial circumstances, etc" they were "unable to attract their preferred manager to CP!" Appointing Mark McGee!

They have already said they want to pay less than the £1.2 million Strachan was getting. Though Bilic was only on a few thousand €'s as Croatia's manager!

 

when did they say that? where did you read it?

It was on tv I think it was Sky. They were talking about the amount of compensation West Brom were demanding for Tony Mowbray & whether Celtic would pay it. THen went on to say how Celtic have made no secret that they don't want to pay as much as the £1.2 million they gave Strachan!

Its the first time I've heard that said.

If its true then its shocking but it doesn't seem like the kind of thing the club would make public if it was true.
