Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by doctor venglos, May 24, 2009.

  1. Well looks like the speculation will continue into next week.

  2. * bless you Coyle, thank you for turning it down ! Bilic, I love you

  3. I just can get how that many medias got a story that wrong?

    It's a bit strange for me.

  4. maybe he was all set to sign but then seen the budget for next term and RAN back to burnley...

  5. I'm sick of this!

    I wish we just got someone in and got on with things. I can't take all these rumours, don't know what to beleive.

    The board need to act quick.

  6. ano is it true real radio were saying its a done deal

  7. Well it can still get worse than coyle, i would go for noone else on the normal list, it would be bilic first and coyle would of been the backup, not mowbray and not mcghee they are even worse

  8. Sick of what it has only been 3 days since strachan left get a grip

  9. i think we have a week to decide or so... we're better getting this right than to get someone in quick and perhaps miss out on availability of someone else they may not have contacted yet...

  10. Or possible his family and friends told him the reaction from the fans was hostile to his appointment and thought he was onto a good thing at Burnley instead of the Poison Chalice at Parkhead.

    I can't say I blame him if its true.

  11. Guys i said it before.

    Until we get something official from Celtic, believe nothing

  12. so we loose out on a potentially good manager because some of our fickle fans scared him away?

    * sake a...

  13. Yeah but its mental.

    First off the press said that Mowbray was the man, then Coyle was definately the man.

    I know it hasn't been long but I'm sure Lawell knew WGS was on his way and I'm surprised that its not been done quicker.

    Considering they said that they had people in mind the day WGS resigned.

  14. :47::47::47::47::47:

    * students! :56:

    Seriously though, this time of the season annoys me too - and its three times as bad when there's manager speculation as well as signing speculation.

    But I used to make my living as a professional gambler, and I know that the way to make money on these markets is to bet against the early favourites at all times. Except when the papers tell you they've withdrawn from the running: then the odds slide away out, and that's when you get your money on...

  15. Im not goin to listen to anything except celtic. who ever they appoint as the next manager of celtic football club has a very big task ahead, they need to attempt to succeed one of the best celtic managers there has been, a manager who in my opinion was better than mrtin oniell. he may not have got his backing from the fans, and was horrible to the media, but no manager will come in and win the next three titles in a row...

  16. so who do you believe in your heart of hearts WILL be our next manager? using your methods...

  17. *? U just made that entire statement up, yet you still think it could be true? * age are you? :31::31:

  18. Well my method would be to pretty much admit I don't know: that's the key first step. Seccond step is to realise the papers don't know either, and the speculation they print is designed to sell copy, rather than to be accurate. Then just bet the opposite of what they're saying, because their pish actually skews the market prices considerably.

    If I had to guess, I would say Mowbray the most likely, with David O'Leary the best current odds at about 40/1.

    But guessing isn't how you make money... :50:

  19. ive got a grand to bet please tell me
