Complete love/hate with Balde. Will never forget the SC final when he scored against Rangers and then ripped his shirt off - immense! Also won't forget his gaffs in the CL that cost us and getting sent off in the UEFA cup final.

Really strange situation going on though - I have heard that Celtic are paying him much less that the 25k per week because the 25k is based on appearances. Why he never accepted a transfer I'll never know.

I wish he'd come to Toronto!

Best centre half we've had for a long time. Especially compared to McManus and Caldwell.

For 30k per week I would have played in the reserves, especially as I had signed a contract, ( a point that many observers here seem to miss)

I will look forward to his book coming out, especially as he has refused to sign a confidentiality clause......interesting.

Still a solid no nonsense defender, and I'm sure we could have used one of them instead of our powder puffs?

Good luck to the big man :bbpd:

Better believe it, put one of the longest running Celtic sagas of late to bed finally, or he'll probably sell his story in the daily hun.

Good luck to him? Good riddance you mean.

Caldwell is a better defender than Bobo in his prime.

He's greedy? why because he wasn't given the chance under Stachan, or that he loved Celtic and didn't want to play for a championship team.

He was the one offered 30k a week, and he was treated like *

we dont know what happend at celtic between the 2 of them,it may very well be balde"s fault it went * up,then again it may not have been

if you think you know what went on ,i would dispute it because none of us know or we wont know untill balde chucks football altoghther,,i say altogether because if he tells all no other club would touch him with a bargepole

    Agreed.

Even if he did stay for the cash he was ENTITLED to do so by his contract.

    What is wrong with that

Gary Caldwell is a better footballer than Bobo Balde, believe me.

Bobo Balde was a big bomb scare that couldn't pass more than 3 feet, nostalgia is clouding your judgement.

Nope but he had the chance to go to play in the best league in the world more than 1 time, proberly on the same wages if not far off.

Making your debut against Manchester United, alot of players would bite your hand of for that.

He threw his career away to sit and rot picking up ill gotten wages, he's a greedy leech and nothing more.
