Gunt i'd agree about having a great core of players, every one you mention plus a fully fit on form Mick. What i would add though is that we really should be 'invincible' (maybe a bit exaggerated) as it is and have been at times this season, but the management don't have what it takes to make them as good as they can/should be as a team. IMO there is NO DOUBT about that.

OK then if we have such good players (and we do have the best squad in the country) then surely the manager must shoulder blame for not getting the best out of them on a consistent basis ?

In fairness to the board, they are interested in our long-term future. Sure we could've thrown 40k a week at Tamas, and 40k a week at some Premiership striker (and risk another Gravesen while we're at it), but over the course of 4-5 years we simply wouldn't be able to afford it, and down the line we would be in the situation where we'd have to sell off our assets to keep ourselves going. We'd potentially be in that embarassing Rangers situation.

So I have a lot of sympathy for the board, there has to be a balance, but in this case we were maybe 1 striker short of 4 in a row.

It's not embarrassing anymore as far as League places go. I don't know how anybody can stick up for the board now. I'm so sick of them and their biscuit tin mentality.

Rangers completely foxed us during the transfer window which was pretty obvious at the time.

I am amazed at how negative everyone is! FFS we played the slimey huns off the park for most of the game, they were at home and sat back hitting us on the counter attack for most of the game. I would bet my house that they will drop points and I think we will still win the league then the same people will be saying WGS is the best manager we have ever had.

Its time people started being positive cos' the huns will be loving it with everyone panicking.

How on earth did we play them off the park ?!

They were happy for us to have lots of possession because all we did with it was try and throw it in to the box for JVOH, which suited Rangers fine and dandy.

    They deserved their victory.

WGS is far from the best manager we have ever had.

If your willing to bet your house, im willing to take you on that bet as i wouldnt mind having your house. :56:

Rangers aren't out the gutters yet. They might have this year but we are still in a stronger situation for next season, whether it be with WGS (which I expect it will) or someone else. That is my point - how close were/are they to utter collapse. We are one of the most secure clubs in Britain, and the state of Rangers will be a detriment to them for years to come.

Yes I'm * off about this year and think we could've done better, but I'm satisfied with what the board have achieved and think we could go another 3 out of 4 titles from here on in.

Aye, while we had all the possession Walter knew his game. Out-foxed us and they deserve it.

We're in the * now, now way around that.

BUT there is still a race to be won and we're going to fight right to the last minute of the last day to make sure it's won.

We now find ourselves with 2 home games and 1 away versus Rangers' 1 home and 2 away. The way our home form has been recently I honestly cannot see us losing either home game, although they will be tough. Easter Road is the big challange now, but we can win there, just like we won at Pittodrie.

Crucially for us, Rangers are away to United while we're at home to Hearts. I can't see Rangers losing to Hibs or Aberdeen but there is still a good chance of United beating Rangers on the last day, especially if third place is still up for grabs.

It's not over until it's over, Bhoys.

However, the fact it's came to this is shocking. Serious questions need to be asked and answered this summer. The fault lies with the players' shocking away performances in 2009.

Remember they go straight into the CL now. We really did have a great chance to send them back years! We could have destroyed them if we weren't so * tight with money.

I really thought this could be a 10 in a row situation:54: From the start of the season I knew we needed a good striker to play with McDonald. The league would have been ours now and we'd be trying out our younger players, improving their abilities and saving money possibly instead of panic buying now to put bums on seats.

I would have thought that we wont be selling all our season books now with no CL football next season.

Definitely. We should have had this league wrapped up months ago.

That's what I've said though - it's a fine line. If we pulled it off (and I suppose we still might) it would be absolutely magnificent from the board/manager and everyone. Unfortunately we couldn't find that striker at Christmas, and I said it at the time that this might come back to haunt us. I also wonder whether there was even a striker out there in our price range?

Either way I've got a split mind about this whole affair

Correct mate. We should be streets ahead of this shower of *.

But when those questions are asked the pro-WGS people call us bigots, huns etc etc.
