What a day it was. Never agreed with the starting line-up but did with his subs. Wilson and Samaras secured the win in amongst the tired legs. He out-foxed me again:52:

    Cheers Gaffer:50:

I thouhgt the Saammy substityutoipn was genius.

Get on the park and run clumsily about smashing into peopel, create space and diversions for everybodty including your teammates and yourself.

    Great stuff though!

Samaras wasnt bad today, he is a great dribble can run with the ball better than Jan just lacks that little bit of composure he has at the start of the season saw that when he took that shot thought he should of passed it though, obv wanted a goal to get him going, hel come good eventually sam with Big jan

tbh honest the huns had a few spells of stringing some good passes together to se it up to go shy the ball 'over the bar, over the crowd, out the stafium, doon the road, intae the pub, intae a taxi and home'

But yeah, a fart prom that. *. victory for footballing finesse. Well kind of.

how was this a bad day for the anti strachan brigade?????
i think we all agree we have better players by far, in every department, i might add. yet we start by playing 1 striker, we try to match up to them instead of taking it to them. we drop the only CM we have who actually has a range of passing. dont get me wrong i dont really mind we started with skippy on his own, but no way should hartley have started ahead of crosas. we won this despite our manager not because of him. still always good beatin the manky mob hail hail

I'll happily say I'm not a strachan fan. An I find it rather ironic/insulting at times when we get a food victory like this, and we see folk come on trying to bash the folk who are "anti strachan" stating, had we lost we'd have heard all the moans. Funnily enogh guys stet topics like this obli when we beat rangers or have a good 7 0 win.

Bottom line is, today victory is good, and well deserved, but many of us who dare to have a real opinion about the club will still tell you that strachan can lways win a league cup, but if you want progress, we need something better.

Who would be better for Celtic just now instead of Strachan?

    Always the same reply.

Guys like me and you are not in the position to properly scout a new manager or to ask any potential managers what their opinion on joining Celtic are.
But be honest, there are many a better managers out there than stachan who could be brought in.

But obviously you don't think so, so what are you telling us? That you accept that strachan is the best we will ever see from now on in? That league cups are our peak? That we can kiss any hope of european success goodbye?

The club is in a phase of building for the future, looking long term. We're investing in the future and STILL running the show right now with the kind of success we haven't seen in 40 years.

Yeah, sometimes it's horrible to look at, sometimes it's frustrating, sometimes we go mad at the costly mistakes. We could throw millions at it again, but that'd last us about 4 seasons tops. Progress doesn't just appear, it doesn't just happen. You have to work towards it, you have to make sure it's done correctly.

If some of you aren't patient enough for that, thats your problem. Having fun moaning.

Not always the same reply actually. I'm quite happy to criticise Strachan when he gets it wrong. But today, he got it right. That is a fact.

Don't be silly. I have quite a few criticisms of Strachan and his management but we won a League cup today. In my opinion, the managers that would be available to Celtic and interested in the job are no better than Strachan at the moment.

I have never once said that Strachan is the best we'll ever see. I have never said that the league cup is our peak. I don't know where you got that from.

As for European success, in terms of trophies, I find it quite unlikely that we'll win one soon. I'd be absolutely OVER THE MOON if I was wrong about that. But we don't have a good enough squad to win a European trophy.

I agree we need to build for the future, that we need to ride the tide with the current state of football. And that we can't spend spend spend. But I belief, and have seen, that the current players at our club are of a high standard. My problem, as with many is with how strachan gets the best, or rather not, out of these players. Through the use of bad man management, bad formations, bad tactics and playing players out of position, we endure a lot of * and worry, and generally song seem to be movig forward. When we should be.

I wqnn a manager who can come in and get the best out of these guys and use them to their best abilities and win with some passion and excitement.

That happened today and has been happening for the past three seasons under Gordon Strachan.

Bad man management - According to whom?

Bad formations - Alright Sir Alex, whats wrong with them?

Bad tactics - Alright Sir Alex, whats wrong with them?

Players playing out of position - Who knows each players abilities best, you or Strachan?
