    He's neither of the two poll options.

    He's a guy who could write a good song who has done far too many drugs. The drug use has actually given him a lot of publicity for his music.

    I'm not a massive fan of Babyshambles and I think The Libertines are good.

    He's touched some unique places musically and has shown flashes of genius, i have no doubt of that and am not into using that term very lightly. People think that because he's a junkie he's a waster, but there have been many many junkies over the decades who have wrote some of the most well known and loved music ever written.

    Voted genius because he has been there before, shame he's not as good as he once was.

    i wish there was a both option, he is a fabulous song writer and a talented musician, but had chosen to wrack his body with so much crack/smack that now he cant be judged as anything but a waste of space, silly boy

    Agree with you m8. but also with Angiebowie in that there should be a both option.

    I don't really know his music but met him in London once at the airport. it was about 8 am and he was either stoned or drunk. we went to him and talked with him a bit and took some pics. he was extremely friendly, laughed with us, he didn't seem like one of those arrogant famous people, not at all - he's quite the opposite.

    a mate of mine phoned his other mate in switzerland and Pete even talked with him on the phone too lol.

    some people feel very strongly about drug abuse, especially when so many young people idolise him, many people wouldnt have a junkie as a neighbour and it leaves a bitter taste that mr docherty is making a fortune by being just that, some people have a problem with the fact that the justice system appears to mollycoddle mr docherty, some people feel strongly about someone who has come from a privilaged background and had everything to live for but appears to be on a mission to fully depress his self destruct button......so i wouldnt go throwing around insults, everyone is entilted to there opinion, no one has called you an * for liking him
