    Who would he go to?

Skippy will be here for years imo, hopefully he can continue to progress as a footballer as he has been doing.

Why do you think he might well lose form next season?

I didn't say i thought he would, i said he might.

He had a good first season, i don't think has been much better than average this season, it might just turn out that the adrenaline of being at a big club made him play well and he might well be awful next year.

Look at his attributes - he isn't very quick, he isn't a great headerer of the ball, he isn't a great dribbler, he isn't a great passer and he hasn't got a great shot on him.

His only great talent is that he works hard. For 6m i'd expect more from a striker that has only scored 9 goals in 26 games for Celtic. (Roughly 1 in 3)

Yes let's get rid of a 24 yr old proven goal scorer when we've no chance of signing anyone as good or better.

That would make us as stupid as rangers getting rid of Boyd.

6 spl goals ain't good enough. his last season was excellent, but this season he doesn't find the back of the net often enough, especially when he's considered celtic' no 1 striker.

    I expect more from him.

I don't think you could be more negative if you tried m8. You could say that about any player, mention what they're not so good at and leave out their strong points. The wee man is strong as an ox, considering his height he can hold off some big guys. And to say he's not got a great shot on him, no offence but that's an out and out lie. His finishing is as good as anyone's on his day.

I've said it before but i think he's got a lot of John Hartson in him, and the fact that he's only 24 leaves him plenty of time to improve further. And just because he's not been as prolific this season doesn't mean he's on his way down, again i stress he's only 24!! The talent he's got in him is huge and i'd laugh in the face of £6 mil.

is it really that difficult though? really think about it isnt there quite a few players that we could get and turn them into 20+ strikers remember they aint gonna be that before they come to Celtic you have to look for 10-15 goals and expect them to get more when they come like we did with skippy. Too much of this gold dust 20+ strikers goes around but I dont think it would be as hard as you think but thats just my opinion.

I repeated exactly what you wrote.

Adrenaline has carried him to three goals against the Huns, the winner against the defending European champions AC Milan in 2007 and a great little goal against the defending European champions Man Utd in 2008, not to mention 31 goals over the course of his first season at a big club? I'd be worried if he's legal so.

Fact of the matter is his strike rate is excellent, and has been for his eighteen months at the club - and in his first season at a big club, he did brilliantly. He seems to have come out of his early season dip this campaign to score goals against Man Utd and the Huns, as well as two Man of the Match displays over the past month or so.

And yet he's scored 40 goals for Celtic in a season and a half.

40 goals in 72 appearances for Celtic. I'd call that a talent. Don't know what you expect, to be honest.

Injuries have hampered his campaign so far. There's no question of this. Now he's had a bit of a run in the side again, he's started to prosper.

No. We are not a selling club. He gets the goals, if not his performances are second to none and his work rate is great also.

Without a doubt, * sake there's not many players in our squad NOT been held back by injury this season.

Selling a player for that amount of profit wouldn't necesarily make us a selling club, just one prepared to do business.

Are AC Milan a selling club for accepting a 100M offer for Kaka?

Its not the figure i've seen quoted in the media, as for the current climate and the fact his club are in financial trouble, i'd reckon about 7M would get him, we'll soon see as they are looking to sell.

Another one with this profit malarkey. The player should be sold for what he's worth, if anything - not because we'd be making a profit on him. I point you back to the Larsson example I gave earlier in the thread.

I think the term selling club refers to the ability and financial security of being able to knock back bids for your best players and build your team around them. That's exactly the position we're in and we've got more than a few of these types of player.

Larsson was too good to be sold though, McDonald isn't.

Re qoute it then, are you saying clubs shouldn't look to turn a profit. Or that Skippy is worth more than 6m. Either way...

    Take a look at this:

From the Beeb, so pretty reliable.
