Exactly, why believe in something that's never appeared or isn't there in the first place?

If it gives people comfort, fair dos but I prefer to deal with the real world.

Im a true believer in spirits and ghosts , iv had a few scary moments in my life so far.
First one i can remember was a few years ago i was sitting in my house by my self and out of the blue my mums hair curlers rolled by the door and about 1 minute later my radio turned on full blast. I was really freeked out and went downstairs into the livingroom and my pets were scared shitless (budgie and rabbit) , i find this funny now but i completely * my self and ran out the door not locking it and ran about a mile to my grans house.
Another experiance i had was when i was coming back to my house late at night and i turned to go into the driveway and i swear saw a wee old woman with a really pale face standing in my livingroom staring ahead at me. Yet again shat myself and ran away.
My most recent one was about 4 months ago when i was coming back from school and normally my mum and sister are home before me. When i went up to the door to open it , it was locked so i chapped the door and no-one answered , so i shouted through the letter box for someone to open the door and i hear a wee squeaky voice saying "im not coming" , thinking it was my wee sister i told her to hurry up and open the door when my car comes into the driveway with my mum and sister in it. I got completely freaked out and when i got into the house i checked to see if there was a tele or radio on that could have spoken but nothing the house was silent , sometimes it really gets to me and i have to sleep with my light on haha ,
My final story is nothing to do with me but a girl i know had a few friends round and as girls do , they like to take lots of pictures and she found this picture taken of her in her room which had a little girls face in the corner of her room. Iv seen the photo and normally you would think maybe it could sort of look like a face but this was clear that it was a face although it was transparent.
None of my stories and concrete evidence of supernatural spirits but i still believe in it all

spiritual teachers call children born in these years "indigo children".

"Indigo children are children who are believed to represent a higher state of human evolution. The term itself is a reference to the belief that such children have an indigo-colored aura.[1] Beliefs concerning the exact nature of Indigo children vary, with some believing that they have paranormal abilities such as the ability to read minds, and others that they are distinguished from non-Indigo children merely by more conventional traits such as increased empathy and creativity." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigo_children

Very plausible and not uncommon in children.

A girl I know says she used to play with a boy called Jacob who told her he had died years before. She was around 4 at the time and when she mentioned this to her parents, they freaked as the girl's auntie had talked about playing with Jacob many years earlier and even though she insisted he wasn't, everybody dismissed it as an imaginary friend. I have no reason to believe she is lying...

Another incident involved one of a friend of the family's three year old daughter who one day started talking about lots of people being killed in a theatre etc. and gave such a vivid description that her dad was able to google it and found out that something had happened decades in New York matching her description exactly. The three year old was even able to name some of the people killed and a psychologist could see nothing wrong with her. She's now 6 and says she can't remember anythnig about it..
