Obviously BR sees him every day in training. So got to trust his judgement in this.

Surely we should asking why almost 40% of last season's transfer budget was spent on a guy that played in Broony's position, when Broony was in the form of his life?

I like Eboue and think he could be a very good player for us but it seems odd to spend £2.8 million on a position that didn't need immediate strengthening, when other positions were more of a concern.

amount spent was just over £13m mate, Eboue was a quarter of that budget got to agree with you nuts spending that money to now fire him out on loan.

Should be alternating with Broony or McGregor for every 2nd game, just play him he has the ability.

    Sinclair £3.5m
    Dembele £0.5m
    Gamboa £1m
    Kouassi £2.8m
    Ajer £0.6m
    De Vries £0.2m

    Who else was there?

    That comes to £8.6m.

Hayes £1m, £2m in signing on fees for Dembele and Toure, Sinclair was £4m i am sure as we made UCL so thats £12.1m so there is a £1.7m deficit therefore fees must have been higher than reported as all where Undiscolsed

    @RegiBlinker got it

    INTANGIBLE ASSETS

The increase in the net book value of intangibles during the year to

30 June 2017 of £4.1m to £13.9m reflects the investment in football

personnel of £13.8m (2016: £8.8m) less the amortisation charge

    of £7.5m (2016: £5.0m), the impairment charge of £0.3m (2016:

£1.3m), the reversal of a prior period impairment charge of £0.1m

(2016: £0.3m) and the net book value of disposals of £1.9m (2016:

£1.4m). The investment in football personnel is largely represented

by the costs associated with the permanent acquisitions of Dembele,

Sinclair, De Vries, Gamboa, Kouassi and Hayes and additional transfer

fees becoming due as a result of qualifying for the UCL group stages.

Additonal payments more than likely make up the missing £1.7m

Should play him beside brown for a couple of games and give a bit more strength in the centre of the midfield

So Rodgers won't play him cause he's in for Browns position. Why not use him as a sub or alongside brown for now? Also what the * happens if brown gets injured I know we've other cms but Eboue would be more suited I would think

It is surprising he hasn't featured more, maybe BR wasn't prepared for Brown being so consistently good. They can both play in the same team too.

So do I actually but Rodgers doesn't for whatever reason. I'm all for signing prospects but we can't be spending almost £3million on a player that's deemed not ready to make an immediate impact.

I agree mate, he's a BR signing you would have thought he would have featured more. Even with his health problems and language barrier. You've got to think there's maybe something not quite right there, but he is still young.

If he isn't going to feature tho, I would loan him out. Killie wouldn't be too much upheaval for the lad and could do well under Clarke. We could keep a close eye on him there too.

Aye Killie would've probably been a good move before they signed Mulumbu but that would possibly limit his game-time. Wherever he goes, he needs to be playing every week.

Don’t want to see him go out on loan right enough, think there’s plenty opportunity for him to get some game time and give brown some rest

Especially given that Rodgers has just criticised Scotland's scheduling of friendly fixtures right after our season ends. Even if we weren't to extend our lead in the league, we'd win it with games in hand that could be used to give the likes of Brown a rest.

Exactly, add to the fact that brown is now getting on a bit and naturally needs to think about managing game time a bit better if he wants to play on
