No brainer to sign him if we get the chance, anything south of £12M is worth every penny.

Paddy being out injured strangely might work in our favour as he hasn't increased his worth this season, if anything it's gone down (wishful thinking!)

Not having Roberts ability to find that killer pass and drive at defenders is the single biggest thing we are missing right now.
Even KT 's form is suffering a bit with his buddy gone!

Forrest is simply not on Paddys level - even on top form.

I’d imagine even injured players are going. All backroom/medical staff will be out there too I’d assume. Facilities will be such that any treatment can continue

Divert the Van Dijk money to City and add a few mill on top of it so he can stay.

Any chance he'll be back when the league kicks off again?

If he doesnt stay on another season, or sign perm etc, then I really do hope he comes back soon and is on fire.

Would be a shame if his injury keeps him out/reoccurs all season and his time here fades away.

Unfortunately I don't see him signing permanently, however if we did throw the Van Dijk money at him (£7.5M?) and add on money we would throw towards a normal transfer (£2-3M) I think we could get him back. £10M is more than fair considering he is never getting in the Man City team anymore.

Get it done Celtic. Can’t face not seen him getting many more games before his loan expires. Would be a hugely disappointing ending.

Anyone know when he is expected to be back?

Don’t care how much it takes to get him here permanently just get it done. As someone said before we would easily make profit on him.

If we don't end up getting Paddy permanently then we've basically had him at Celtic for two and a half years. That's roughly how long a player with Paddy's talent would stay at Celtic to be honest.

Doesn't mean I'm not hoping we get him like, I'm just trying to find a positive. :giggle1:

It’s great that we have had him here for that long but it would be so much better knowing that he was our own player. Think it would greatly benefit Paddy if we signed him because he would be able to focus on playing for us and not having uncertainty about what his next move is going to be.

The last two and half years have constantly been the fans wanting him here on a permanent deal. :giggle1:

Celtic will take their time with the rehab of Patrick Roberts, despite the winger travelling with the rest of the squad to Dubai.

The Ladbrokes Premiership leaders began their winter training camp yesterday and will train twice a day over the next week to keep themselves fit before returning to action with a Scottish Cup clash against Brechin City on January 20th.

Roberts did not join in with the rest of his team-mates, as reported by the Daily Express. Instead, he continued to work with the physios as he looks to overcome the hamstring injury which has kept him out since late November.

The Manchester City loanee sustained the injury in his comeback match from a previous hamstring problem, and the club are being understandable cautious with the player.

Celtic hope to have him back in time for the first leg of their round of 32 clash with Zenit St Petersburg in the Europa League on 15 February.
