As soon as he gets tired his performance drops dramatically, the nature of the game meant he never caught a 2nd wind and just looked *, good fitness test for him though.

Beautiful bit of skill in the first half but his shot was straight at the keeper..

Taking a while to get up to speed.

The pace of the game tonight was a nightmare for him. Knackered after 15 minutes.

Be interesting to see if he starts the next couple of games. He still seems a wee bit off the pace, but starting to sharpen up.

Hard to see past McGregor right now on the form he is in. He and Roberts link up so well.

took him a while to get going and properly find his feet when he came back after his last injury,
good to see him go in hard though for the goal,

Some good touches, and a goal; shame it's the end of the season, though, 'cause he does look as though he needs another five games or so to get back up to speed (what little of it he had to begin with). :56:

Fit-again Celtic star Tom Rogic has been recalled to the Australia squad for their crucial FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifier at home to Saudi Arabia on June 8.

Rogic only returned from a four-month absence due to injury at the end of April but has since had enough playing time for the Scottish champions to get the nod from Socceroos head coach Ange Postecoglou.

Australia are currently third in Group B, three points behind Saudi Arabia who are second and table-topping Japan.

Australia’s 30-man squad includes six players from the Hyundai A-League, six uncapped players and, for the first time since 2008, a set of brothers, with Adelaide-born siblings Ryan and Dylan McGowan named in Postecoglou’s squad.

The squad will be trimmed to 23 players on Wednesday May 31 with the same squad moving onto Melbourne for the friendly with Brazil on June 13 and then Russia for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, where the Socceroos will face Germany, Cameroon and Chile in the Group Stage.

“I’m happy with the 30-man squad, but initially our energy and focus will be solely on the World Cup Qualifier against Saudi Arabia in Adelaide,” Postecoglou said.

“The group is tight at the moment and Saudi Arabia will be a tough opponent but we have always been strong on home soil and I see no reason why that won’t continue in front of our fans at Adelaide Oval on June 8.”

The team will begin assembling in Adelaide on June 2, giving Postecoglou and his staff extra preparation for the Saudi Arabia tie.

Brendan got it bang on yesterday with introducing Rogic.

With Hearts sitting with 8 in defence at times, we struggled a bit for creating space. McGregor and Armstrong are quite similar, we were crying out for someone who could take the ball in the tight central area and bring others into the game. Big Tziolis guy packed it in 2nd half because he was getting the run around by Rogic and Armstrong, who both pushed further on.
