When unlimited access to performance enhancing drugs aren’t enough to get he job done, it’s good to know you’ve got the judges on your side

 

UFC really need to change the scoring system, 3 judges isn’t enough and the boxing scoring system doesn’t work for MMA there’s too much * going on. So many guys that get robbed.

 

Reyes won that for me 3-2.

To give to Jones by 3 is ridiculous.

 

The judge that gave it 49-46 also had Trevin Giles winning the first round against Krause

 

Also how the * did Lewis win? He’s a brilliant fighter to watch but 3 takedowns and more strikes by Latifi, mental scoring.

 

49-46 Jones was a ridiculous score card. It's insane that there is absolutely no consequence to the judges for poor judging. Rogan even pointed out during one fight that the judge was simply not watching the fight. This kind of nonsense can't go on.

I had it 48-47 Reyes. 48-47 Jones is also an acceptable score card.

 

Fell asleep after the Lee/Murphy fight I think and I thought Lee got robbed for that as well..

 

The UFC really have to sort out the judges they get from the commission in the state the event is. It’s criminal that these athletes go through months of hard work and put it on the line only for some judge(s) to make a shocking scoring of their fight. Jones or Reyes could have won it 3-2 but Jones being the champ got the nod rightly or wrongly. The 49-46 score makes an absolute mockery of the UFC.

A masterclass again from Shevchenko, flawless technical ability. Her kicking ability is second to none. Unsure what’s left for her at flyweight, a fight for Bantamweight belt with Nunes must be on the cards.

 

That was a complete farce. Is that also the judge Rogan was going mental about because he wasn't even watching a fight?

By it you mean their lives and wellbeing. Watching boxers get cheated by judges as well makes my blood boil. It's been going on since the beginning. Can't see it ever changing.

 

Watched it last night..

Think it was pretty clear that Reyes got the nod for the first 3 and Jones for the last 2. Didn't see any other outcome..

Reyes had Jones backing up a lot and dropped in the early rounds hurt. Reyes then gassed and was hurt once or twice in the last couple but to me....Reyes looked the better man before he fatigued. Jones did show championship winning grit and quality down the stretch but it wasn't enough in my opinion..

I'm no sure but he was going off his nut repeatedly..

The joke judge gave Jones round 2. Was ridiculous to be honest..

Didn't realise the UFC was just as bad as boxing as at least 2 fights I thought someone got robbed. Then to hear judges no even watching certain rounds is mental..

 

Don’t know if it’s age, lack of motivation, Father Time, wear and tear or whatever else but definitely feel like Jones is doing just enough to win these last few fights.

Aside from the DC and Gustafsson fights since his comeback he’s only really shown flashes of what he can do. He smashed Gustafsson and gave DC his first KO of his career but since then it feels almost like he’s coasting.

He’s had one stoppage win since the US Anti-Doping Agency was introduced to the UFC in 2015, alongside a couple of very, very contentious decisions.

He’s not coasting, he’s just no longer pumped full of a plethora of performance enhancing drugs.

 

I plan to watch the fight again but on live viewing, I had Reyes 1-3 and Jones 4-5. The judge who had 49-46 should be fired.

Looks like Joanne Calderwood has secured a title fight against Valentina Shevchenko, being reported that this will take place at UFC 251

 

Buzzing for her but canny see anyone stopping Shevchenko.
