Im pretty sure they beat us twice doing tht,thats were there extra strength n grit came from against our midfield,,even kent is usaully cm but is comfortable on wing.

You can hear them at the end talking about not knowing any of the players and them being “panic buys”.

 

Wanted to watch the full celebration after the first goal but it got cut, wonder if things were said that they couldn’t put on camera...

Celtic defended well BUT they weren't asked any serious questions

The space Boli leaves at times is worrying and his passing can be poor. Maybe spoiled after KT but Boli's defensive qualities need improved and his positional awareness is lacking. Early days but massive amount of room for improvement.

 

We weren’t asked serious questions because they didn’t start a winger v Mbombo, but got to give him credit.

He was excellent defensively yesterday.. he kept Tavernier very quiet, heading the ball too... very composed debut in that game.

Give him some credit ffs..

 

going forward & his engine i have praised but i still worry about his defensive qualities. 90 mins against a poor Sevco wont allow me to give him too much praise. I have stated maybe spoiled by KT but i think Lazio will give us a true measure of his defensive game.

Hopefully getting game time in a settled back 4 will help ..

 

Well what a massive boost that was yesterday not just the win but the performance and manner of it. The key to the win was how well we defended and how we matched them physically. If you had of told me before the game that the key to us winning the game would be the back 4 needing to be very good I would have feared the worst as clearly given we are in the process or a complete back 4 rebuild that has been our biggest issue in the early going this season. Then if you had of added that our best defender right now Ajer would be out injured I would really have been fearnóg the worst. So all the credit in the world to Julian who looked every inch the dominant center back we hoped he would be and credit to Biton beside him who was calm composed and defended superbly. Then El Hamed continued to show what a good signing he has been and the much maligned Bolingoli had arguably his best game in a hoops shirt. Fraser Forster who was very good in what he had to do especially under high balls had very little really to do in terms of making stops which again is a testament to the performance of those in front of him.
This was a massive week for the club and credit to the team and the players for coming out of it with 2 big time away wins. It is still early days in the season but what a great way to head into the international break.

 

Boli was excellent. Give credit where it's due. Can't please some folk

i have spent today watching the match back .. and his defensive display was NOT excellent, Take off the green tinted specs. I wont give credit for a defensive display that was average at best. He did much better than i thought he would and i'm very happy for him but i will not change my opinion just because others on here think he was excellent.

or let me know a few instances in the match where he was defensively excellent.. just post the time and i will go watch them.

Personally I thought it was a bit of arrogance hes stated he thinks he can play arfeild wide.... Theirs no way he can play wide against a team like celtic * carrying round a tyre he overates him tbh

Not gonna lie the way they had got results in Europe and the way we had been I would have been happy with draw b4 kick off then I seen their team and was confident we would do them
