    CELTIC are set to move for Leicester City winger Fousseni Diabate.

    Hoops boss Neil Lennon has been alerted to the availability of the French-born Mali international.

    Diabate, 23, is up for grabs, with Brendan Rodgers willing to let him go out on loan.

    Lennon is still considering various wide options.

    But SunSport can reveal he could move for Diabate before the transfer window shuts on Monday evening.

    The Hoops manager is also looking for a new left-back, with talks over a deal for Kilmarnock’s Greg Taylor ongoing.

    Sunderland failed with an opening bid of £750,000 for the Scotland cap.

    Lennon said: “There are things going on in the background we are working away on, trying to keep options open.”

    Celts signed right-back Moritz Bauer on a season-long loan from Stoke following a recommendation from Paul Lambert.

    Lennon added: “Paul was very complimentary about him, so you take a steer off that. I think he played every minute of every game for Paul.

    “He has a good pedigree. He has lost his way a little bit at Stoke, so I am looking at his time at Rubin Kazan and his time with the international team.

    “I don’t think you lose ability, but sometimes circumstances go against you.

    “We feel he will add to the squad and it’s a position we wanted to strengthen. I think we have done that.

    “He has been on the radar for 18 months or so. There was other interest in him from Premier League clubs and abroad so we are delighted to get him in.”

    Record Sport understands Leicester City winger Fousseni Diabate has emerged as a potential option.
    The French-born 23-year-old, who has represented Mali, is set to leave the King Power Stadium with Harvey Barnes, Demarai Gray and Marc Albrighton ahead of him in Brendan Rodgers’ pecking order.
    Diabate spent the second half of last term on loan to Turkish outfit Sivasspor and it is believed Celtic are monitoring the situation as Lennon hunts a winger.

    He looks a bit of a midfield all rounder..

    No checked his stats but by the video he's all over. Quick. Gangly but skilful and works hard. Looks like he's got a bit of wow factor but could be a bit of a sand dancer..

    More attacking than defensive can't find where I seen the main video as the rest are just on one game and no all that but he seemed to play a fair bit near the end of last season off the bench or that and looked good..
