If we take a step back for a second the bigger picture is equally as confusing as this whole Turnbull saga

Do we have a proper transfer strategy and if so who is behind it? Since Congerton went (best days work he did was clearing his desk) unless I missed it we don't have a replacement for what he was supposed to be doing, all is unclear and muddled with zero direction best summed up by that comical transfer document leak.

It's even more credit to the existing squad how well they have done in the last 2 seasons when you consider our recruitment side of things was a car crash from day one of Congerton and doesn't seem any better now he's * off

 

One injury to Jozo or Ajer and we are looking at Ralston and Hendry starting our most important ganes of the season.

The lack of urgency is frightening. I am starting to feel like the people running our club are incompetent.

 

Dont know why the club is taking this long for a head of recruitment as they knew after the snake left on february he would take our present one so 4 months and still not got one in yet .

I would have liked us to sign him but it is far from the end of the world if we don't, what is far more worrying has been the way the club has handled this. Shambolic and really worrying about the summer.
It is absolutely frightening to support a club that has just won a treble treble and be worried to hear any news about it.

 

Not the end of the world. We offered him a good deal and it was up to him to accept it or not. Hope he enjoys mediocrity in the English lower leagues. I actually think the club’s actions have been spot on, over this.

They’ve no one but themselves to blame for the lack of foresight. We’re 3 weeks away from the qualifiers and haven’t replaced two of the most experienced CBs that we have lost and have let Lustig go without a replacement or decent back up in place.

Honest to *, they’ve not got a clue.

No single player is bigger than our Club. The lad at almost age 20 had the biggest chance of his career to win something, to be part of history. He choose money over winning, you get one chance and he has blown it. The galling thing about all this hype and * about him signing or not, it has been over a player, not yet 20,who has not proved himself or done anything significant. Yes he has potential but my fear is the board are loving this as we do not have anybody imminently coming in and the headlines with this lad has merely hidden that fact. As said , 3 weeks until we play competitively and we don't not have a defence. I only hope if we were willing to pay £3m for potential we bust the bank to get quality in. The lad has taken poor advice and may regret this, it could stifle his career. We move on ( I hope !!)
