Mamma Mia, Here we go again. Good, if musicals are your thing. ABBA write some class tunes tbf.

Ant Man and The Wasp. Was a decent watch, but borders on average. Good Easter egg at the end though!

    A Quiet Place. 8/10.

Thought it was another good modern horror, severely overhyped though.

    Love, Simon. 9/10.

About a young boy struggling to come out. Loved it but the ending was a bit ridiculous.

Watched The world's end. Some really funny bits. Bit daft but enjoyable.

    Interstellar. 10/10.

Put off watching it cos of how long I take was, wish I’d went and seen it in IMAX now. Incredible film. One of the best I’ve ever seen.

    Hot Summer Nights. 7.5/10.

Cracking wee film. About a kid getting too involved in drug dealing.

Maika Monroe is an absolute dame.

Went to see it last night, * brilliant.

Car and chase scenes were top notch, Cavill was a bore a * though apart from one cheeky comment and the toilet scene.

    The chase scenes were unreal.

    “I’m jumping out of a window” :56:

The whole helicopter * with Cruise constantly like “don’t worry, I won’t let you down. I’ll find a way” was brilliant :giggle1:

Unreal he done all those stunts man.

Aye, the whole helicopter * I found amusing rather than engrossing.

Cruise is a mad * and his face is weird as * now, but by * the wee *'s a machine!

Just been to see that and I thought it was slow and boring.

Ant man and the wasp (6/10)

An above average movie, maybe overhyped because of infinity war. Lacks the good humour the first film had and at times tries to do the exact same formula the first film done (without working). Still a decent watch albeit the plot can get muddled at times.

Aye its definitely slower paced than the first but over all I enjoyed it, thought the sequence in the storm was really good.

That storm sequence was definitely the highlight. I'm not saying it was a bad film, it just dragged a little for me.

Have to echo the praise for Mission Impossible: Fallout.

High octane action, even if it's a bit implausable for 60yo to be plausably doing even half the stunts, lol. Even if acrtion really isnt a genre that I favour, have to appreciate it was very entertaining.

    The Meg

Perfect movie to check your brain at the door and just go with it. You know what you ar in for when buying a ticket for this, and provides exactly that: man v monster shark and energetic fun.

    Darkest Minds

A lot of the movie is world building, which seems to be trying to position itself as a platform from which to launch a franchise series from, but in truth I doubt it's going to get what it has been set up as. Nothing particularly special about it. Hunger Games, this isn't.

Teen Titans Go! To the Movies

This was good fun! Tongue very firmly in cheek, even for somone who has only a passing knowledge of the inside references from superhero movies etc. Just really good fun.

    The Festival

I went to a lot of music festivals whn i was young, and so many things happened or heard about from friends that you knw that there was a movie in it somewhere. Not entirely sure this is it, lol.

In all honesty though, went into this with low expectations and have never really been a particular fan of the Inbetweeners, but there was an equal measure of a handful of genuinely funny moments and genuinely cringe ones throughout - lame in places but overall, better than I expected.

    Ant Man and the Wasp

Was underwhelmed by this. Not just because of it following in the shadow of Infinity War, and not bing rally familiar with th characters but that wasnt really the issue. More just the pacing and story didnt really engage. Just felt more laboured and an obligation to get through rather than enjoyng it.

    Incredibles II

14 years, well worth the wait. Are they going to do another follow up? Who knows, but definitly a winner here. In all honesty I wouldnt classify this as a kids movie that adults can enjoy, much more textured, subvrsive at times, and layered than that and more a film that can be enjoyed by everyone equally.

Seen all of them recently and largely agree with what you've said, though I did enjoy The Darkest Minds and The Festival more than you seemed to.

The BTS stuff for Fallout is nearly as good as the film.

    Cruise is a maniac :giggle1:
