Peter Grant absolute legend. As a mascot he made me feel so welcome which helped because I was bricking it. He was injured so was floating about and spoke to me and my old man for ages. Same after the game winding me up saying it was my fault we got beat etc. Great memory.

Spoke to Jackie Mac and Hartson in a nightclub in Stirling the Monday before Boavista. Both sound as a pound and took time to speak to loads of people.

Craig Burley in Aberdeen the weekend before Barca. Complete * end who was milking the attention.

Apart from serving big Bobo in MacDonalds drive thru, I also used to serve Novo every now and then in Blockbusters- he was alright tbh. More recently I met Armstrong when in St Andrews on a stag do and it was class, He was brand new and so was wee Charlie Telfer and his missus who were out with Stuart.

Was at the dogs one night a few years ago with a few mates who were rangers fans. We spotted Owen Coyle and it all started. "Look there's that * * Coyle etc" Anyway about an hour later he approached us at the side of the track and said. "What you betting boys?" My mate said Bolton to go down. The look on the then Bolton managers face was priceless.

Kevin Keegan opened a place called Soccer Circus in xscape yeears ago, we went at the end of the day when I was a kid, he spoke to my dad and uncle for about 2 hours, gave me and my mate a free shot of everything and a wee analysis and tips on our game. Cracking guy, genuinely loves the game. Apparently he lost millions opening these places up and down the UK.

I worked in Nandos in 2013. Hooper and Matthews were in probably as much as 3 times a week. Every now and then Forster, Commons and Forrest came in with them. Matthews used to ask a girl I worked with out all the time, she knocked him back constantly, he used to always say, come to mine ill get us a pizza and we'll watch Netflix :smiley-laughing002: . Dylan McGeough was in all the time with his misses, she was stunning, had a central Amercan look to her. Kayal used to come in with his misses too. She was one of the hottest girls Ive ever seen in person. Whole place just stared at her.

The funniest thing I ever seen was when that big goon Moshni signed for Sevco, he slipped on a fork and fell to the ground pure shoutin in the middle a the restaurant sayin he was putting in a claim :smiley-laughing002:

Met Artur Boruc at the casino in Brisbane when Celtic toured Australia. Asked him for a photo but he refused. Glenn Loovens saw me and my pals in our Celtic tops and came over for a chat. Nice guy.

Also met Lennon, Mjallby, Stevie Woods etc at the casino in Melbourne the night before Celtic played Melbourne Victory. Was early in the morning so I asked Lenny if he had a job to do the next day? He said he doesn't but they players do, that's why they're at the hotel in bed. Chatted with Stevie Woods for at least 15 minutes. This was when Fraser Forster just finished his loan with us and before he signed permanently. Showed us the three most recent phone calls on his mobile were to Forster, Boruc and his wife.

Richard Gough was at the Alva Games once when I was wee and my mate ran up to get a photo with him. I stood beside my friends mum while she took it and he asked if I wanted in. I said no. End of conversation :icon_mrgreen:

I've always wanted to talk to Samaras about movies. He owns thousands of them and is a huge fan of adventure/fantasy and horror. I read some of his movie reviews in the View. Seems like a good guy. It would probably be nice for him to talk to a fan about something other than just football for a change too.

Off on a tangent, but was there a time when a lot of Huns lived in Bridge of Allan? The big houses up the back?

About 10 ten years ago I was at David Lloyd in the swimming pool with my uncle and brother. Ended up getting like a wee soft ball tanned off my head, looked to see who it was and it was Paul McStay and his weans. He came over and apologised and when I was in the changing room later I saw him again and he was a gent again. Also used to play against his sons team quite often when I played football. Got his autograph once or twice.

    Never really had one.

The nicest footballer I met though was Emlyn Hughes. He did a coaching school for kids at Meadowbank Stadium back in the 80's. Him, two Hearts players and two Hibs players. Hughes was really good with the kids. He was funny and interested and gave you the feeling that he really wanted to help you and for you to do well. I always remember that. I was sad when I heard he'd died.

    Cool :50:

Spoke to Tosh McKinlay at a dinner once, great guy with cracking stories. Mark McNally was there too, quieter chap but sound enough.

And met Del Piero the other week, didn't say much, but gave me a nod as he signed my shirt, the guy is cool as *!
