    Don't think he was bad as many seem to be making out. He wasn't a goal threat but he one of the focal points of their creativity tonight, especially 2nd half.

    Not according to all the pundits in Spain. His goal and assist return is very respectable but he's taken pelters for the fact that, until tonight, all his goals had been against the likes of Valladolid and in 4 matches against Barca and Atletico he'd I think only got 1 assist.

    Messi was utterly woeful tonight, even the biggest Barca fanboy couldn't disagree. He didn't even try

    I don't think he was great by any stretch of the imagination but he certainly wasn't one of the poorer players. Was nowhere near his brilliant best but still to me looked most likely to create even when in an unfamiliar role. Put a good few cracking balls in that nobody quite managed to get on the end of.

    Martino has to go in the Summer and they have to pray for the ability to sign some quality.

    Aye Barca need to inject a bit of pace and energy into their team. The likes of David Luiz, Kroos and Reus would be ideal signings to replace Puyol, Song and Sanchez or Pedro.

    The last thing Barca need is another bombscare centre half/centre mid hybrid just because he likes to play football.

    They need strength, height and someone that can organise and * strikers at any level, not David Luiz.

    Who though? Kompany, Thiago Silva, Chiellini and Dante are too old to pay big money for. The next best is probably Hummels who is too slow to play next to Pique, other than them I cant think of anyone so it would need to be faster but more average defenders * like Luiz, Boateng and those sorts. They should also sign a real centre-back as a back-up even one like Agger, Vermaelen, Vertonghen or one like that.

    Neymar could have been subbed 15 mins into the 1st half.

    Pinto never covered himself in glory at either goal, an obvious weakness dealing with shots close to his body. Thought he could have blocked Di Maria shot with his feet.

    A rebuild required at Barcelona, on and off the park. Read a piece by Stoichkov today slating the clubs transfer dealings and it was exposed tonight.

    Ancelloti should get a lot of credit for his selections tonight.
