Wouldn't be so quick to punt him, if we don't get a decent CB in we might need him again as cover.

 

At this point he's 7th/6th choice centre-half.

The way I see it, Ajer - Boyata - Jozo - Hendry - Lustig - Compper are all ahead of him in the pecking order. Maybe he's ahead of Compper? Meh, whatever.

No room for him in the midfield either. Kouassi hardly ever plays and he's miles ahead fo Bitton. Assuming we sign McGinn, we 'll have Brown, McGinn, Kouassi playing in his position (McGinn can provide cover for Ntcham as well).

I assumed we had sold him... I’d make a joke about him being like a new signing when back but today is too tense a time.

 

He played alright at CB last year did he not ?

 

Personally think we will be in a far better position when he's back. Criminally under rated, far better than Hendry and on current form wouldn't flinch at seeing him replace jozo at centre back, no mcginn in so can definitely fill in midfield when required too.

On the ball he’s great plus his height for winning headers, but positionally he was bad though that can be expected when going from midfield to centre back.

Hopefully he’s done his homework while being out injured and hit the gym.

 

There is definitely a player there for sure and with Armstrong sold I think Biton gives us important cover for the holding midfield spots. Personally I rate him higher then Kouassi in there.

 

We all seen how good he can be but also how pish and a shitebag he can be. Eboue has much more energy and aggression than Bitton which is what we need in midfield and why Bitton has played Cb under Rodgers. Bitton is no good as box to box which is what Armstrong was, where as Eboue was brilliant against Zenit in that role.

In my opinion we need a player with experience like Bitton at the back not in midfield.

 

Biton is a playmaker that doesn't do much movement, and obviously Rodgers doesn't use this type of role.

I'd say it was Tierney but that confirms what you're implying. Our centre back options are vile.

 

Bitton in fairness carries a goal threat in the opposite box from corners like boyata but not matched by Jozo or Hendry.

Lennons team for example were great attacking set pieces but we are so weak in this area currently be it delivery or winning the headers.
