Thanks Sioux, aye nature is a * at times :38:, it was sad to see him paddling about on his own but i suppose that's the circle, he went on to feed some other creature.

My wife, daughter and I decided to take a wee trip to Helensburgh yesterday. We had a good day, and got a wee spot of birdwatching in. We saw lots of Jackdaws, Herring Gulls, Blackheaded Gulls, Lesser Blackback Gulls, Carrion Crows, Pied Wagtails and a few Starlings. But the star of the show was a lone Little Tern. We had a seat looking into the sea, and watched this stunning little bird fishing for food. We did our research when we got home, and were absolutely delighted to discover what we saw. It made a good day even better.

Sorry we couldn't get any pics as it was so quick.

A few from last weekend at Colgagh, there has been loads of wildlife to see over the last few days, i've been out early the last couple of days and been lucky to watch a big Otter hunting for fish, there's a family of parent Swans and six Cygnets and i saw a lovely fox giving them the eye (pics to follow), the Buzzard was getting dive bombed by the Crows and the Swallows but it just kept on gliding higher on the thermals till they gave up.

Some more from Colgagh, i got a sighting of the Otter for the third day on the trot yesterday morning, he swam from left to right of me along the length of the loch and then back again, i got to see him/her quite close up this time.
I also got to take my first pictures of a Fox, he/she was a beautiful animal and looked in good health, there was also a wee red Squirrel running down the lane in front of my van this morning but i didn't manage to get a pic but i'll be on the look out for it again. apologies for the volume of Otter pics in these posts but...:50:
