A few from yesterday, i went out early for a walk around Raghly harbour and surprise surprise it was sunny and warm and a joy to be out in, i saw quite a variety of small birds and going by the songs they were singing they were just as glad as i was to see a bit of summer weather.

 

I could be wrong Johnie, but they could be Twite. Maybe my good friend could put me right if I'm wrong

I can see where my good friend is coming from for these species can be very hard to make out for they are very similar but yes these are Juv Linnets

PS I Have seen mixed flocks of both species and they can blend in together making it difficult to count the number of either species

 

Cheers Pete, i find it hard to tell small brown birds apart, even when i enlarge pictures of certain species on the laptop i still struggle, especially at this time when the young birds haven't got their * plumage yet.

I have more Wild Flowers in Ruby Roo’s garden than ever before and the bees, hoverflies and Butterflies simply love it

 

It's great Pete a couple of years ago out dad's back was just a paved driveway then he started getting pot's and bulbs etc and growing flowers it's brilliant to see the bee's and all sorts of insects flying about them
