you lucky lucky lucky- not just the oystercatchers but just being near the sea daily must be great for your soul, their beaks are just so distinctive,(I know I’ve already mentioned this but it’s true), are they migratory do you know?

you take some good photos but the light/shadow & subject of that top photo is breathtaking, you should print and frame it,(might do myself,if you don’t mind?), where do you take them, approximately, if you don’t mind me asking?

To be honest I don't know if they're migratory or not as I see them all year round. We saw some of their chicks the other night. They're funny and speedy little things. Yes it really is good for the soul and particularly during these times. I'm not seeing much different these days to photograph although I've picked up a few photos of the seals and the odd little bird or two. We also saw a nest of young hawks (I think) which was embedded high up on a rocky hillside. The young were out testing their flying skills and I couldn't help but suppress a shiver on behalf of all the wee mice, rabbits and birds nearby :54: We might see more when it heats up again as the weather has been really variable of late and it seems to affect the wildlife.

Thanks jake I'm very flattered but it's the camera that does the work I just click away, most of the pictures are from Dalmuir Park where there's a burn, a pond and tree's, and the canal which is just behind where I live :)

Thanks Jeannie you know yourself some days are better than others and it helps if the weather's good and even better if a wee creature decides to pose :giggle1:

Give yourself some credit Susan. You do have an eye for a good photo.
