Must admit, it's always been my favourite terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusc of the family Helicidae

I was out walking this morning , it was dreich and the undergrowth was very wet . I walked along a totally overgrown path and came across a Roe Deer Fawn . It was about 4 to 6 weeks old . It was lying low waiting for its mother . A great sight to witness .

This on my local patch with Ruby the local pair of Peregrines showed well(young must be very well grown on nest i can only guess?) The local pair of Raven also showed well, seemed happy that this years young are now doing their own thing:56:
Also a family party of 5 Mistle Thrush noted.

As much as I dont like seagulls BFL , you,ve really caught those pictures spot on , Wee chicks on the roof opposite me seem to have disappeared and the parents gone as well .
Problem solved yesterday , day before I saw 2 magpies down the bottom of the garden , looked like playing with some of the swamp balls out the wee kids play area ( raised a wee smile ) but yesterday saw it again then one of them pecked and broke the ball and flew off . I wondered how there always seemed to be broken balls about .

Ta man, this is at least the second time you’ve helped me as back in the day you directed me to good parking at Paradise

Spot on I just checked out photos of oyster catchers, 2 were on a river but other six were on moorland
