The only thing I worry about when watching videos like that,or feeding them myself,is that the foxes become too trusting of humans, far too many arseholes out there that jus view them as pests.

Alas no. I havent been out enough to be honest, outwith the city. I wouldnt recognise more than 4 or 5 species of butterfly. One of those things on my 'to do' list if i ever get to retire.:smiley-laughing002:

my wife and I have a garden but we've planted wild flowers into a box above our rubbish/recycling bins. We've let it grow wild for the birds and insects. Today we saw 6 young Goldfinch feeding on the flowers. Moments later 2 house Sparrows came and started eating the seeds as well. then all the birds flew on to my fence and the Sparrows started feeding the young Goldfinch. I watched this for about 30mins. It was better than any TV show.

Got soaked on my local beach with my Boxer Dog this morning but was rewarded by a cool mixed flock of 6 Whimbrel and 11 Black Tailed Godwits, also 6 Turnstone were presant.
Yesterday on the same spot 2 Wheatears were hanging around.

Last week when I was in Edinburgh ( my annual trip to the Fringe ) I saw a Heron standing in a large pond . The pond , which contains many Goldfish , is outside the big office complex opposite the Commonwealth pool . It was getting quite dark , and it was just standing motionless in the water . Proof enough that there is wildlife to be seen in the heart of the city .

Home for the weekend , pheasant , a couple of hedgehogs and some doves.

The cat which is making itself at home in my rockery is not a full wildcat.

My neighbour came to have a chat with me as i was in the front garden, she had phoned about the cat as she was curious as well, she was told its not a full one .

Doesnt matter bcos its a cocky So & So . Settles in the rockery and gives me a look when i go out , then just settles back down , as if to say " Ohh he is back "
