    Thanks Red, I've lined the pitch twice already this week,,i had to use a string line this morning as a lot of the white had completely gone and no doubt it will be gone again tomorrow morning, the paint just can't get a chance to dry into the grass and washes off again as soon as it rains,it leaves a kinda shadow but its hard to follow the line when you're only looking six inches ahead of the roller. I have it well forked but the ground is saturated and there are pools lying in places, i'll ask tomorrow if they'll put a roof on the feckin thing.:50:

    Seeing all these birds kind of reminds me of my favourite poem by Norman McCaig

    SPARROW

    He’s no artist.

    His taste in clothes is more

    dowdy that gaudy.

    And his nest – that blackbird, writing

    pretty scrolls on the air with the gold nib of his beak,

    would call it a slum.


    to sing solitary in midnight trees,

    to glide solitary over gray Atlantics –

    My wife, daughter and I went through to Edinburgh yesterday. We took the bus as it's nearly impossible to park there. It turned out to be a great decision. On the way there we saw 3 cool Ravens, a Black Grouse, a Red Grouse, Buzzards, Carrion Crows, a couple of Kestrels, and numurous types of Gulls. It was the first Ravens and both Grouse I've seen in a couple of year. It paid of to get the bus. And Edinburgh Christmas markets were really good, so we had a really good day.
