    I used to think of them as the huns of the bird world but I'm starting to warm to them :)

    But I remember learning about them in primary school how they were extinct and I remember seeing one stuffed when I was wee in Glasgow art galleries, they must have made a comeback and are The duck billed platypus :56:

    Saw a pair of the local Hawfinch this morning on my local patch. First time I have seen the biggest of the Finches up here since June:36:
    Also a neat flock of 20 Redwing passed over as did 13 Siskin.

    I came across this photo of a crab when looking through old pics from Vietnam. I discovered a few hours after taking the picture that they are tasty little beasties.

    In light of BFL's new love-in with magpies, saw this in the garden today. The squirrel and magpie obviously reconciled after last week's spat. Blue * included for "cuteness".

    Great pictures red, when I feed my crow's the magpies watch the crow's bury it then when the crow flies away the magpies try to dig up what the crow's buried, thieving *'s :56:
