I have made my bird feeders magpie proof by cable tying them to the washing pole and also cable tying the wee lids down, I love crows but I despise magpie's, Hun looking birds evil things

I had the same a couple of years ago BFL , an old crow that came along the fence when I showed it I had scraps . One day I went out the back door and 2 younger crows were attacking it but I was too late , natural progression I suppose but …
he,s buried down the bottom of the garden .

I don't like magpies either. They keep swooping at the smaller birds in our garden for no apparent reason.

you won't like what was caught on the trail cam then BFL,a magpie went off with a whole fatball in its beak over the weekend and crows and smaller birds made light work of the other. i'll put out a fat cake tomorrow and one of the older lads at the school can look after it as I wont be there for a couple of weeks after tomorrow.

Sitting up at grangemouth docks and just watched as a seagull took a heider right into the ground then got up and walked away.
Must have thought nobody seen it. But all the other gulls just watched him walk away.

Just like when you're playing football and someone blooters the ball right at your thigh, and you take a deep breath, and walk away without flinching. Until you're sure no-one's looking that is, then you hop around and rub your leg in agony. He's probably round the back of the harbour wall rubbing his beak with his wing as we speak. They're no different to us!

Just checked out my local pond in strong sunshine watching a pair of superb Emperor Dragonflies. The male patrolling and hunting the female the same and egg laying.
Also a family of Moorhen with the young well grown. And a pair of Whitethroat busy feeding young.
Taking My Boxer Daughter Ruby Roo for a Dusk walk later, let you all know if I see anything of note:50:

Taking my son into town yesterday, I was waiting at lights. There was a big bush to my right, and a Willow Warbler landed on a branch right next to me. What a view I got of this stunning little bird. My son wasn't too happy with me when I stopped paying attention to the road and started looking at the bird. Nearly missed the lights as well.

My mum is up in Aviemore with her best friend and it was their last day today and they still had not seen a Red Squirrel so I told them to try Loch An Eileen a few miles south of Aviemore, they did and got brilliant views:36:

lovely day today so I decided to fill the bird seeders x2 and the fat ball feeders x2 , 4 balls in each . as I said I dont like to continually fill them up in the summer months so they still forage .

less than an hour later both fat ball feeders empty and the seed ones half way down , im gonny start charging the wee fekkers dig money .

Coming home from the Skynyrd gig at the Hydro late Wednesday night, I turned into my street and was BUZZED by a BAT. I'm not too sure what kind of Bat it was, but I nearly * myself.
