If we had that I’d be confident of making the CL never mind Europe.

We ended up playing Midtjylland in Extra time away from with a back 5 of

    Bain
    Ralston Welsh Murray Montgomery

How Ange managed to make us competitive against them and knock out AZ is crazy considering what he walked into.

Soro start as well and no Kyogo or Jota.

Difference from then to now is mind boggling.

    Interesting insight.

Positives - patrols in front of the defence, gets the ball moving quickly, has an eye for a pass and dictates the tempo while offering a decent attacking threat. Can also carry the ball up the pitch if need be.

Negatives - his head goes down when team aren't playing well.

Seemingly he's a feisty tough battler in midfield, bit of no nonsense about him.

Guy on radio Said even though it didnt work out in europe first he should be fine, seemed to highlight him the most out of the 3, says hes watched him since hes been 8 years old.

Yosuke is someone I followed and scouted from my time in the Australian national team,” he said. “He’s an exciting young talent and a guy I’m really pleased to bring in and work with.

It’s an added bonus that Yosuke and Daizen have experience playing in Europe and I like the fact they went back to Japan with the intent of proving themselves and going again.'

Yosuke Ideguchi has arrived at Celtic intent on being a winner, firstly on the training pitch and then in Ange Postecoglou’s first-team plans as the manager has told the 25-year-old to be himself and play his natural game.

And, as a battling midfielder, that would mean plenty of ball-winning and turning defence into attack from an inherently hard-working player.

Guchi is a fan of the manager’s style from the Australian’s time in Japan, and the former J League midfielder was delighted at his first coaching advice from his new boss.

The new Bhoy said: “He said to focus on my own style and just play in my own style.

“I think hard work is pretty much my style, which is one thing, also getting the ball, and from there, leading towards the attack, so I would love for everyone to watch my type of style.”

The midfielder was announced as a Celt along with fellow Japanese players Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate when he joined from Gamba Osaka at the turn of the year, and he was immediately able to join the rest of his new Celtic team-mates at training on their return from the winter break.

And the Dear Green Place of his new hometown is proving to be a winner with Guchi, just as much as the lush green surroundings of Lennoxtown and his fellow Celts.

He said after his first week: ““Glasgow is really beautiful, I’ve been walking around and it’s a nice city here.

‘In terms of football, my team-mates have been amazing, the staff have been really friendly here, so I think I’m settling in well.’

“The first time I went abroad as a football player, personally I couldn’t leave the result I wanted, so I always wanted to try again to play for an international team.

“So this team gave me the second chance, so that’s why I 100 per cent wanted to go to Celtic.”

On leaving Gamba Osaka for the first time in 2018, Guchi moved to Leeds United and spent loan spells in Spain with Cultural Leonesa, and Germany with Greuther Furth before returning to Osaka for another two-and-half years in 2019 with Gamba before the Hoops came calling.

The ball-winner is now looking forward to proving himself on the pitch as he continues to settle into life at Celtic.

He said: “Of course that all depends on good communication with team-mates and good communication with staff, and at Celtic I would love to contribute and do really well here.”
