Would you want an English team in group stages?

Being from England, the majority of my mates, infact all of them support the big English clubs. If we were to ever draw one of them in the CL and lose, I would never hear the end of it. That said, despite our club being fairly mediocre right now in terms of performances, I would still happily meet an English club with open arms as I feel it would be a fantastic opportunity to get it right up the arrogance of the EPL

Now obviously the downside would be potentially getting a hammering (and let's be honest, it could happen) against someone like City or Chelsea, and having to suffer the name and shame of the English media.

Now assuming we get there, would you want to face one of the English sides, wherever you're Scottish, English or from any other country, in the groups, or knockouts for that matter? Or would you rather face a Bayern or Madrid instead?

 

It's been a while...I'd love us to get someone like Liverpool. It'd be intriguing.

Not really bothered one way or another what nationalities we meet. I would like the easiest group possible.

No. We're not strong enough this year to have a chance against them. Maybe next year, though.

Real madrid for me, couldnt stand listening to liverpool or chelsea fans if they were to hammer us. Dont know any city fans so it wouldnt bother me as much although id still rather madrid or munich for the spectacle. Just not barca again.

Agree, them or Chelsea would taste the sweetest of victories over the English sides. Don't mind Liverpool or Man City that much. Especially City if they're going to be our friends and loan us decent players over the coming years. :smiley-laughing002:

Celtic Park would do just fine, the Chelsea fans reaction would be a right laugh, the English media as well with the likes of Ray Wilkins doing everything to defend them most likely.
