I'm genuinely excited if it's gonna be Rodgers.

I like Rodgers and his brand of football but do you guys really think you will win games with free fast flowing attacking football at McDairmid park or Firhill or Pittodrie durng the winter months whe tge surfaces are crap and the opposition are allowed to kick you about the park ???

I think it's a big appointment in terms of getting the fans right back on side. We've become a little fractured with half the support wanting Ronny gone and half wanting him to get more time.

This appointment was pretty crucial, especially with Rangers getting promoted to the top flight. Their budget is bigger than everyone bar us in Scotland, and they do seem to have clicked under their new manager.

Somebody like Lennon or Mackay would have done a decent job, would have won us the League and would maybe even have taken us into the Champions League. But they still would have divided the support.

I haven't seen too many Celtic fans arguing against Brendan Rodgers - if any. When the Celtic support is united and together, it's a pretty powerful thing.

Add into the bargain the fact that this guy is a bright young coach with experience at the top level - and he grew up as a Celtic fan.

Yes, I think this could be our biggest appointment.

I luv the idea of getting a genuine high profile name like Rodgers in, good for the club, the brand etc.....however absolutely pointless if it means that there is no/not enough money left to bring the team up to speed. If Rodgers weakness in the past has been around his defence, then dont see him "coaching" the current crop of defenders into guys able to compete in Europe.

On paper yes, MoN could be seen as bigger because of what he achieved but that is with the benefit of looking back. Rodgers is a manager who could hold court with EPL teams and was a victim of his own success at Liverpool.

Its a statement of intent. We have not made a dent in Europe the past 2 years and the dismay amongst the support is at its highest since Mowbray, they need someone like Brendan or their get pockets get hit with ST sales.

I think half of the support wanting to give Ronny time is stretching it, very far so. If Ronny was to say he will stay now the support will most likely go ballistic

Rodgers is a bigger appointment than Martin O'Neill.

Not saying he'll be a better manager for us, which I highly doubt he would be. But he's been at a higher level.
