Exactly, Woy wand Kenny were pish for christ sakes. Brendan did a good job.

Indeed, we always seem to do 'just enough' to get the job done, which annoys me.

This will be the first time that I can fully comprehend us pushing the boat out for someone big.

Find the thread a bit cringeworthy. Rodgers has won * all for a start & the recognition factor you speak of is a chip on the shoulder complex stemming from the EPL. Personally I couldn't care if he is recognised down 'sarf & as I say he has won ZERO!! Putting all that aside I would take him as his brand of football is enjoyable & if the guy decided he wanted to commit to managing us then I would support him as I would anyone.

To be fair it's essentially a competition within itself and he won it, so not * all. He's always managed in extremely competitive leagues as well and generally with teams not expected to achieve that much and he's done well on each ocassion except maybe Reading.

Coming in second in the EPL by a hair, with a team on a budget. Championship promotion playoffs. Champions League experience with one of the more historical clubs in the world. Something to be said for that resume. Would take him in a heartbeat.

Kenny Dalglish was the biggest appointment by miles. Success with Liverpool and then Blackburn, he was easily the most successful manger/director of football coming into the job. Not even debatable.

look how that turned out but
