Anything jump out there ? I'm no sure if 1-5 Spain to qualify is a bit short.

 

South Korea, Japan and Chilie

 

To win their groups ? I quite fancy Chile to do well ( though that is a very tough group and they may not even qualify) which is why I was saying I think 1-5 Spain is a bit short to qualify. Spain are a great team but that is a tough group and I'm just not sure there is a 83.33% chance of them qualifying.

 

Just to get out of the group. Chilie and Portugal are my dark horses

 

Don't know why but I have a feeling Algeria will do well, they have the odd player at decent clubs around Europe and there's always one or two youngsters that make their name known at World cups.

Don't see how Italy are favourites in that group England are going into this worldcup with a top class strikeforce and Uruguay always pull out the big performances plus there's no El Sharawaay for italy and almost everybody knows what to do with Pirlo now.

 

Spain is a bit short for me. Holland and Chile are no push overs. That being said there certainly my favourites to win the World Cup never mind the group.

Racing Post have a World Cup guide magazine out, anyone know where in Glasgow is stocking this?

 

Just order it off Amazon mate. Other than that somewhere like WH Smiths might have it. I might get it. Before the Euro's and every major tournemant they have a massive pullout that comes free with that days paper which will probably be just as good and out probably the start of June. I will definitley be keeping an eye out for that.

 

I probably will do that mate but quite bored today and fancied a read at it without having to wait a few days for delivery, if there was somewhere in walking distance of me that had it I'd probably pick it up today or tomorrow.

Some of the odds on the matches themselves are good. Torn between backing Argentina or Germany to win it.

 

Costa Rica to finish on 0 points is 6/4. I think that is definitely worth a few quid. Australia are also 6/4 for the same bet, and Iran are 5/2. I might do a double with the first two, I think the Iran one might be risky.
