Even if they had decided Ronny isn`t the man, I doubt anything would happen until the end of the season at the earliest.

It will take us losing the league or getting drubbed by the huns in a cup for Ronny to get sacked. None of those things will happen so you can already have a look on the scandinavian leagues to see who is gonna get we out of Europe next season. IFK Norrköping is my guess.

Celtic managers are on a years rolling contract. Wouldn't be much compensation to be paid.

Sack himself and take Desmond with him.

Get new men in charge and then hire an appropriate manager.

were we not in this position once with Neil Lennon? then he and the team went on a run and won the league.

This is the same board that allowed Mogga to run our club into the ground before finally giving him the sack. They usually don't learn from mistakes, so no.

He has to win the League to sustain his position. So no.

Sadly this is probably true, and it's * ridiculous. It essentially given a new manager no time at all to evaluate the squad and bring in his own players before the summer window and the next round of CL qualifiers begin.

I am pretty sure we could hire Chris Sutton as manager and still win the league. You really need to be football daft in order to lose this league when our closest competition is a side like Aberdeen. Without any real domestic threat, the real desire in a manager in today's Celtic is one that can provide performances in European competition. Without that, the fans are not going to be happy much, obviously.

We could win the League with Tony Mowbray as there is no serious competitive threat. I could bet we would win the League under a Manager who is below medicare. Our resources are the inevitable process of winning the League, this is unequivocal, not because its our fault its because Scottish Football is at best substandard. We need to concentrate more on the International stage in my opinion and we are not doing that.

And in the semis of the first cup.

Let's be honest here, short of losing control of the whole dressing room he's going to get to the end of the year. Id be stunned if he's gone by Christmas, and I'd keel over if it was this week.

The problem is that as impotent as we are in europe, we're romping everything at home this year. We actually look like we might do the treble this year in my opinion. We're so far ahead it's impossible to align the 2 things. If Lawell sacks Deila now he could well be up for unfair dismissal. He's stated publicly that we don't need europe, so he can't very well sack someone who's going on to dominate the domestic stage that the club states us all they need.

I think Deila was given certain targets to achieve:
    1) retain the league, seriously challenge in all domestic cups without a large budget.
    2) promote youth
    3) provide european football until Christmas, with a chance of qualification near groups end.
And as jaw dropping as it is right now to face it, he'* all those targets. There's 2 games to go in our group and we can still finish 2nd.

Not sure how long his contract is for, but my gut says that we'll see all the management setup changed out next summer - especially if sevco come up. Then, and only then, will we see big name managers and players seriously linked with us again

I * don't... that * took a fortune from sevco, while continuously undermining them and making them seem like the rank poor amateurs we now all know they are.

If it's going to end I hope the club does it right and does up a proper severance, linked onto a gagging order on both sides.

Don't think I could take this thing somehow getting worse...
