This is so frustrating! We will do our usual no doubt which is rake in 10m+ in transfer fees then spend a couple of mil and try give it the big un saying how much the board are investing in the team.

I'm not saying go crazy but last season after the legia fiasco we were only one half decent striker away from the champions league.

Throwing Virjil up front near the end Vs Maribor was embarrassing.

Arsenal spent around 30mil on Sanchez a couple of seasons ago and with one goal he scored in qualifying he paid his transfer fee back instantly (I'm not suggesting we pay anything like 30m btw but 5m wouldn't kill us)

 

That would be brilliant and could, in terms of transfer fee outlay, be covered by the sale of Virgil.

 

We don't need to cover it we have money to spend surely see this is what Lawwell has done to us he has us all thinking we need to sell before we can spend but at the same time his bonus and salary has increased ten fold, a do like the guy but we don't need to sell to cover purchases if we have to do that year on year we will never get into the CL again
