Barring injury it will surely be between these two to finish Celtics top scorer and most likely the top scorer in Scotland- Who will bag the most goals in the 2022-23 season?

I'll say Kyogo as I think he'll play a bit more, and GG's goals to minutes played ratio is incredible but likely unsustainable. He's the better finisher of the two though, I think, so who knows.

Said this the other day but I wouldn’t be overly surprised if Jota, Abada, GG, Maeda and Kyogo were capable of hitting 20 plus in the season. Don’t think they all will obviously but it wouldn’t be surprising if any of them did.

Difficult to say when you factor in injuries.

I hope Kyogo doesn't have any more hamstring issues. If he stays fit I expect him to absolutely rip it up this season.

Think they'll score 60-70 between them.

All things being fair and even I'd say Kyogo, reasonably comfortably. However, Scottish football is far from that and I expect he'll be targeted by the hatchet men and refs - cue another Hun "he always dives!" campaign - so I think we'll see an awful lot more of GG this season than we probably would've, and he seems the more likely to make it through the roughhousing/bias to me.

So, in short... Too close to call for me! :56:

I would have said Kyogo before today, but today reminded me of how many Kyogo misses which GG scores. That cut back in the first half that was blazed over should have been put away.

GG misses his fair share also.

For me it's simple, kyogo is the more complete footballer and easier on the eye but GG is the better goalscorer.

Watching the Blackburn friendly today, some quality crosses going in and I think GG would have done more with them then kyogo or maeda.

It's great to have two very effective and very different options though. Think when there is plenty of space to exploit in behind kyogo is the right choice. A more compact defence might need q bit more roughing up, GG can do that

Had a look at a couple of score related bets. Kyogo top league scorer was 11/4 and GG 11/2 if I remember right.
Other team ones were 2/1 for 100 league goals, 5/1 to score at least once every league game and 25/1 to score 9+ goals in a league game.

Kyogo. I just think he's got more variety in the types of goals he can score. The Ferencvaros, Jablonec and league cup final goals for example. GG doesn't score those imo. But it will be close and it's a nice contest to have - may the best man win.

Agree, with the exception of Maeda, just dont rate him as a finisher.

im guessing kyogo will play more than gg so hed have an advantage before a ball is kicked.if kyogo continues where he left off and avoids injury im expecting crazy numbers from him (40 odd)
