Thai is one of my personal favourites. Red Thai curry i fancy all the time. Never feel too stodgy from Thai food in general. Soups, the lot. Love them..

Indian for me and the missus is our usual go too. Our local curry house is probably the best restaurant round these ways. The fact i can try so many different dishes and still like almost everything..

Turkish probably just after. Love loads of their food if eating out or even travel to a Turkish supermarket and get their meats to do at home. sausages (im pish remembering the names like hot mince one). The flat breads with spinach, cheese and kick in it. Grilled olives etc. Ooft..

Caribbean probably the other. * chicken. Curry goat. All the plantains, dumplings etc..

Food i never ever fancy having out. Italian and or pizzas or that..

Not a fair question tbh. Out of order.

I'll say Italy for now, but that may change.

It's like asking what is your favourite song of all time ffs.

When I think of authentic stuff it turns my stomach most of the time TBH.

My favourite take away is Chinese by far but I don’t picture Chinese families sitting doon on a Saturday night to a chicken baws, salt and chilli chips and a chow mein on the 1 plate drowned in curry sauce and ate exclusively with prawn crackers instead of cutlery. Like wee parcels of joy and happiness.

They * are chowing down on turtles and * like that from festering wet markets.

My niece is over from Shanghai we’re she works as a teacher and I’m meeting her today for a meal in town (Chinese) so I’ll find out if these inscrutable Chinese do like to munch down on a piece n’ turtle and stuff like that

Lots of people going for Indian food which is my favourite takeaway food.
But the food you actually have in their country is nothing like or even bares any resemblance to the takeaways everyone refers to on this thread .

I mean it varies from which part of the country you go to. Obviously you won't pick up a tikka massala there but plenty is the same.

Greek is fabulous, kleftiko is the best dish of all time.

Greek, Italian, Chinese, Indian probably in that order. Rarely I get it through because takeout food here in Australia is expensive asf.
