    Maybe my favourite indie band from that time, love Oasis, the Verve, Stone Roses etc but they lads were quality.

    My current favourite album on vinyl- got a new turntable and amp at Christmas and this album was my first purchase

    me too... 86 or 87 if I remember... still got the tickets somewhere.... too young to be in if I recall but managed it with my mate... we’d bought tickets way back when first announced and the band were pretty unknown in U.K... but by the time the date came round they’d become a bit notorious and the media were looking for stories..

    In the queue outside to get in that night there were scummy tabloid ‘journalists’ trying to buy tickets so they could get in and then write * that they were going to do anyway.

    OK... they did have a 30ft inflatable * and naked cage dancers.. but all part of the show. My main memory other than the bonkers atmosphere was that they were on stage for <30 minutes..

    They grew into their own art and improved with age...
