He absolutely does. Nobody was saying this when he raped them last season or his hat trick against Motherwell. What he is, is young and inexperienced but taleneted.

1 in 7 now, very much time for Griff to come in.

He's not an out and out, lone striker. It isn't his game.

Edouard is at his best when he can drop deep, drift wide and run at defenders. Needs someone to play off.

2 chances in first half edouard was nowhere to be seen cutbacks and crosses from Tierney , Griff would have been bursting on the end of.

I’m not saying he had a good game, I’ saying he isn’t incapable of playing up top himself. Similarly, next time Griff has a difficult game that he isn’t doing it doesn’t mean he can’t either.

How do you expect a boy to play decent when nobody behind is giving him the service or balls to run on to

Really? At 20 Moussa was * tearing teams a new *.

Don’t get me wrong I’m glad we got Eddy but I would start the Thumb over him.

Let’s hope the massive price tag has not caused a dip in form.

He’s clearly talent. Have to remember there is a tremendous amount of pressure of the lad to do well. Big price tag, Griff sniffing down his neck doing what he does best, banging in the goals. I’ve no doubt he will succeed here. Some of his performances last year showed that. A few goals at the weekend could make all the difference

Don’t expect every 20 year old to be a Moussa or a Tierney. They’re very much exceptions.

We Need to try and fit both him and Griff in the same team. Neither of them are able to play up top themselves.

Thing is I didn’t expect us to spend 7 million on a 20 year old. If we are spending that kind of money he should be up to speed like Moussa or KT mould.

I would have him playing with two up top.

To do that we need to buy in a 3rd striker, for now there is I'm afraid no way we can have Thumb and Eddie starting together.

I said at the time he was 2nd arguably 3rd choice last year, 7m was a big investment I would rather have spent on Roberts actually, him and Demebele looked dynamite together which is gutting now, still really young, looks older but at 20 he has a lot of development to do.

Thumb upfront, like a lone striker, but with Eddy just behind and to the left, between the midfield and Griff.

Yes it can be done, but playing our only recognised strikers both of whom have had niggling inury issues for the entire course of a season is leaving us open to a massive striking issue.

It is not worth the risk.

Was awful lastnight, not closing down, not making runs, just didnt seem too bothered.
Just hope the whole dembele sage hasnt turned the heads of the french lads because ntcham was rotten also. Both maybe need a spell on the sidelines.

Exactly. Confidence can be a huge thing. People forget Dembele didn't hit the ground running. I distinctly remember folk been gutted when Griffiths was injured before that 5-1 game n us having to go with Dembele. The rest is history.
