...for anything over £7M, while unsuspecting EPL team's actually think he's worth that much.

no chance, Our best midielder imo

Don't think we should sell him but I agree that his pricetag is big but why would we sell somebody who quite clearly inst a final product or anywhere near that. I feel that if we solt everybody that wasnt a finished product then that would be severely lacking ambition. Think of Steven Gerrard at the same age as Brown ovcourse he was a better player but he wasnt the finished artical. Rash challenges, lost his temper easily, every ball wasnt the greatest and didnt score alot of goals xact same as Brown . Should we sell him? No

Seriously? After all your good work and all your other brilliant ''nail on the head'' posts you come away with that?!?
-
He's still not the player some people think he is but it would be hard to replace his energy and the amount of ground he covers. -
-
I'm glad your called Tictical genius and not tactical.
Sell one of our best prospects? Are you on glue?
Name one player in our squad who would replace him?
Or a player we could buy whos equally as good with out spending a fortune ? -

tbh mate i agree.
in his first season, and i understand his personal problems, he didn't look the part
i think last season is when he only justified his value as a 4.4million player
if an epl team came with 7million+ i would take it -

It would take £10million for me to sell him. Hopefully, he'll score more this coming season and create a lot more too.

Think about it for a minute.
Unfortunately Scott lacks vision, the ability to pass to feet, the ability to pass into space, any range of passing and has a paltry scoring record. Oh, and running headlong into people dosen't count as tackling either.
So, he is'nt the finished article? really, you don't say. This would be okay if it were are a few problems he had to iron out, however we are talking about the basic elements of the game, namely; passing (a crucial component of a midfielder's game would'nt you say?) tackling and shooting.
If he was'nt considered (bizarrely in my opinion) to be considered such a valuable asset in monetary terms, then i'd perhaps agree with the give him time approach. However, we have a habit of holding onto players for way too long, I would get repetitive strain injury typing out all the names of those who fall into this category.
So, while the EPL gravy train is still on the rails, £7M+ on the nose, thank you and goodbye Scott. -

Got to disagree mate, his passing needs improvement yes but his runs are what drive us forward, many a time he would get the ball in our half and go on a long mazy run to the oppositions box a la Samaras before he got injured. I think we will see the best out of him this season, especially with Mowbray, a manager who shares Brown's attacking philosophy. Broon and Crosas could win us the title back (<bit early I know but, I dont care). -
Mate I think you are bonkers. sell one of our best player's then what try bring someone better in. Its the celtic board we are talking about they are lowering their standards every season.

The madness I read in here :56:
Why do people say he doesn't score enough aswell, he's scored 10 goals for us in 2 seasons, it's not amazing but it's not a bad record. Lennon scored 2 goals I think in 7 seasons, Lambert only scored a couple a season. He's out highest scoring centre-mid since Petrov and people criticise his scoring??Last edited by a moderator: Jul 7, 2009 -

Brave comment. To be commended. I don't agree though. He has the best engine I've seen in a long time (outside of Hutton, though it pains me to say it) and when he drives forward, he has the capacity to be excellent. His rep was built on the back of Mowbray's managment and with his signing on to be manager, it may be the masterstroke which turns Brown from a player with bags of potential into one of the most fearsome midfielders that'll play in the CL this year.
