As in the management team;squad, need to progress in Europe to show we are making progress and actually are a good team not only in Scotland but Europe as well.

Next weekend we could be sittin 8 clear of the sheep, still in Europe and still able to win another Treble, new faces are needed in January no question about that, but no need tae hit the panic button after our first defeat in a zillion domestic games. :giggle2:

Some amount of panic in here.

We have been a little off the boil lately - that is plain to see, but we have played a shitload of games this season and regardless of what happens in the next few matches, the winter shutdown is approaching.

We will use that break to recharge better than anyone else and will blow the opposition in the league away afterwards. We will also be able to add to the squad better than the opposition too.

A run like we had, will always come to an end. It has been fantastic to be a part of. Time to start a new run going forward.

I think this is true, plus the other managers are slowly working out a way to play against us. We have to find other ways to play when our normal way isn't working.

Defo mate, the amount of games we've played since BRs arrival has been phenomenal. Successful Cup Campaigns, CL Qualification and then subsequent Group Stages and now EL Qualification to look forward to. All this with what two weeks break and when you consider most of our players are Internationalists too..

BR and the side have answered ever problem posied, exceeded expectations and made history all the way. And we are only a season and half into his tenure.

The break and some much needed investment in key areas we will secure another piece of history in gaining back to back trebles and hopefully a wee EL run..

It might be that his time here has ran it's course. Could be time to find someone to take us to the next level.

What Celtic has achieved has been fantastic, and one game won't change that. I was referring to those who were saying that we've become stale and predictable. I'm sure Brendan knows what he's doing, and knows a lot better than me.

You are forgetting the Bayern home game. We can go around and around but Facts are we have football after Christmas, we didn't last season.

An improvement in recent performances and a couple of new players for a start.

    Great post.

Too many people are quick to forget we've already won a trophy this season.

I’ve often said that we generally play our best football in the second half of the season. The games in December last season were about putting points on the board. The players will re-energise in Dubai, and then we’ll see that verve again.

Regressed is perhaps the wrong term but we seem to have more problems recently. Hearts say they copied Anderlecht with the high press and they are not the first to try it this season.

I recently posted about or front players looking very static and though that may be true i would like to add that players are tending to pass to the man rather than into space the player is already moving into. I'm not that observant so will let others comment on that.

I genuinely think we are far too slow coming out from the back, if defenders get caught (which happens far too frequently) then there is very little we can do to prevent opposition from being in on goal. Young Ajer looks good and would like to see him play more. Taking 10-15 passes in our own half allows teams tto get their players back and organised. It also lets their strikers hang about in our half while their defenders get a breather/rest.

This would allow other teams to match our fitness levels later in the game and i think that is what is happening. So maybe not so much that we have regressed but just stopped doing the basics and not playing our game at the right tempo.
