i think you should step away from the drugs mate.

the only attribute i would say kayal is more accomplished in is passing. wanyama is his equal in every other department and betters him in his defensive capabilities.

I do agree that he isn't a patch on Kayal, who I see as the best player in that team by a considerable distance, so much so that apart from a handful of players in Europe I think he could match up to the majority of the game's top midifielders. Just my opinion though.

However I don't believe this makes Wanyama a bad player. He is very talented infact and would have him starting every game. I am a big fan of him and I think he has the potential to be a top player. I don't particularly want to sell him at all but would listen to offers if they start to creep closer to double figures.

I think big Vic has proven, in his first year, that he can be a top pro in the years to come. There are many areas he would have to improve, but he has a cool head, reads the game well, and is as strong as an ox.

It would be very sore to lose him so soon, and we should reject any offers for him, if it is possible to do so.

At times we have to be practicable too, unfortunately. Chelsea are a huge club these days, and a major draw for any player considering the money they have available, the level of weekly competition, the wages available, and the players they have at their disposal. If they are genuinely interested, we should hold out for £10M, and not a penny less. If they want him, they will pay it. If they baulk at the pricetag, Lenny should drop an interest from Man City into the hands of a few hacks to print.

I hope he doesn't go, but £10M would be a massive return on investment, as long as Lenny gets it to spend, and it's not done too late in the window.

I would accept £10million, even begrudgingly from the English huns.

Leaving Celtic would be a poor career move for him at this stage. I'd expect him to want to chance his arm in the big leagues when he's 23/24.

He's a player you need to try hold onto as long as possible, especially at that age.

If big money comes in then there's not a lot we can do, i'd love to see him stay for at least another year.

seen a few folk saying that £7m would be a good offer and we should accept. and i suppose it would be a very good piece of business, sign a young player and sell him on at over 7.5 times what we bought him for.

but tbh, hes worth more than that, particularly with the money being spent by the clubs apparently interested in him. id happily see PL tell everyone to * off at £7m.

Gaining £9m on a player we signed for £1m just under a year ago would be a magnificent coup!

I wouldn't sell Wanyama just yet, if clubs are offering between £7m and £10m just now with a few more good seasons with us under his belt his value will increase further as he progresses as a player. Plus we will reap the benefits of having an excellent player with us for a few more seasons.

It would need to be a crazy offer.

If not a crazy offer we keep him.

So you believe that we should turn down an offer of between 7-10m,because in couple of seasons he would be worth more?

    Two words....

    Artur boruc

Even teams in england don't pay over 10m for spl talent.
They don't rate the league, they general opinon would be,he's a defensive player, therefore unproven against regular quality opponents. So in two years he will have little of his cntract remaining. We'd be lucky to get half off that, espically if he wants to move.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has insisted that he does not want to sell midfield star Victor Wanyama.

The highly-rated 21-year-old has not hidden his desire to move to England, should a bid be made for his services.

Sky Sports revealed earlier this summer that Liverpool, Stoke City, Queens Park Rangers, Newcastle and West Ham United were all keen.

And Wanyama revealed whilst on international duty that he would be open to a move to the Premier League.

    Anger

But Lennon has reacted with anger at Wanyama's comments, insisting he does not want to sell him.

"The rules are made clear before the lads go away. At any time of the year players should not be talking about club business when they are away with their international teams," he told the Sunday Mail.

"That goes for a few of the others and I am not just singling out Victor on this but he knows the club policy.

"It is difficult sometimes when they get asked questions but they should just bat them off really.

"Victor is due back on July 11 and will meet us on tour in Germany.

"It does not surprise me that there is interest in Victor as he had an incredible season.

"We think he is a great player but I'm just not happy about the way things have been dealt with.

"As far as we are concerned Victor is not going anywhere as he signed a long-term contract."

Lennon also revealed that talks are continuing with Gary Hooper's representatives.

"We had a meeting with Gary's representatives in May. I am assuming talks will start again," he said.

"At 24, Gary still has plenty of progress left in him."

    Henriksen

Lennon also confirmed he is keeping tabs on Rosenborg's highly-rated midfielder Markus Henriksen.

"Henriksen is a player we have had our eye on for a considerable time," he said.

"Central defence is the position we are looking to strengthen most but I am still looking to bring two or three players in."

If he wants to go then * him, let him flounder around the bottom half of the SPL.

If the figures being banded around are true then let him go, we have options.

It really depresses me to think that we are nothing more than a stepping stone to the EPL in the eyes of a lot of players. :54:

I know mate. A club this size should never be just a stepping stone though, it's a horrible thought.
